This temple is located in the top of the hills on the way of sidhra highway with a very peaceful and holy atmosphere and a very beautiful view of tawi river and the mountains all around. The ropeway from bahu fort is also available for this temple which comes with an exciting and thrilling experience.

Mahamaya temple also known as mohmaya temple is dedicated to female freedom fighter of dogra community who gave up her life fighting for her motherland. Temple is located at the top from where a beautiful view of jammu city and river Tawi can be seen. It is Very peaceful and calm here. This place needs some more attention of government for its renovation and beautification. Although there is gandola and public park there but it is not well maintained. So government should look into this.

Jai Mata Di. Nice to visit the temple. Cleaned surroundings and well maintained way toward the temple from roapway. All around mountains made this place as tourist attractions but need to make some good view points so that more people attracts here.

It's one of the ancient temples of Jammu. From here the complete view of Jammu city is visible.

It has two ways to reach. One is through the Cable car from Bahu route(almost 1 km ahead Bahu fort alongside road) Or Peer Kho and the other is via road.

I took a cable car from Bahu route which cost me around ₹250 (two-way). After reaching Mahamaya stop for the cable car, there's a trial of almost 1 km towards Mahamaya temple.

On the bypass road, behind the Bahu fort, the city forest surrounds the ancient
Maha Maya Temple overlooking the River Tawi. A small garden surrounded by acres of woods furnishes a populated destination for tourists.

Mahamaya is the local goddess of the Dogras, who lost her life 14 centuries ago combating foreign invaders.

It is a very nice place. This temple is of Mahamaya Mata. Earlier there was only one temple but now in the same temple there are many other small temples like of Shivji, Durga Mata, Radha Krishna Mandir, Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Baba Lal Dyal ji mandir also.
Maximum times on Sunday there is always langar in the morning.
In navratra, Langar is available all the days.
From here you can go to the Peerkhu Mahamaya ropeway project and also you can see the beauty of Jammu and view of river Tawi

Mahamaya or Radha, is the manifestation of Lord Krishna. It's Beautiful, serene at this place. U can get glimpse of old Jammu city from here as well as Bahu Fort area. Monkeys 🐒🐒🐒 are also in and around this area, so keep watch on your personal items. Peace is here.
