Chini Bungalow Homestay, Kalpa

I have been staying here on my trip to Spiti Valley since 2017. Tota Ram is such a friendly guy and always helpful too. The property has a heavenly view of kinnar kailash parbat .

The location of the homestay is just perfect. View from the room is breathtaking. Budget friendly rooms with peaceful environment and with basic amenities. You will forget everything once you have a look at the view from homestay. Caretaker is very helpful and uncle ji too. Only point to note is that there is no food provided here.

An amazingly friendly place with warm and generous owners and the super-efficient manager, Mr.Totaram, this place has awe-inspiring views of the complete Kinner Kailash range from its lawns and the small portico, as well as the shared balcony. The morning and evening scene from here, looks like a dream. The beautiful Kalpa meadows and orchards stretch out before you. It's exceptional in winter, when everything is covered in pristine white, and Spring, when the whole village is swathed in apricot flowers. The fluttering Tibetan prayer flag is a sight to behold and the soft chants of 'Om Mani Padme Hum' waft up from the Buddhist monastery not far away.

Lovely place! Great location, beautiful large and very comfortable room. The owner is very warmhearted and friendly, good to talk. A place with a heart ❤

Had a wonderful stay at Chini bungalow. Magnificent views of the Kinnaur kailash range from the balcony. Caretaker totaram is ver helpful. But not suitable for the elderly persons with knee problems , as you have to climb 30/35 steps to reach the place.

Really liked the place
It is a small and cozy homestay situated in one of the best locations in Kalpa.
The caretaker Mr. Totaram is really sweet and maintains the homestay really well.
The place can NEVER be crowded because the homestay has ONLY 5 rooms and thus the maximum number of people that this place can accommodate is 10.
Rooms have attached washrooms and they are neat and clean. Geysers are attached to all the washrooms for hot water supply 24x7.
The homestay also has a small lawn and the view of the Kinner Kailash range from the homestay is really worth it.
But, this place gets filled really fast so make sure that you book it well in advance.

This place is amazing. Located right at the center of the main market. The views from this place are amazing as well with the entire Kinner Kailash range visible.

In the mornings and evenings you also get to hear the chants from the Monastery nea4by, which again is just a 2 minute walk from the place.

The caretaker, Totaram is an amazing person as well. Always willing to help and assist in anyway possible. We were a group of 3, and though a room there is for twin sharing, Totaram was kind enough to let as all stay in the same room, that too at no extra cost.

It must be noted that you do not get meals served at this place, but all restaurants and eating places are maximum 3 minute walk away.

We loved our stay here and whenever I visit Kappa, I am definitely going to stay at Chini Bungalow again.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Apparently we were the first customers of the season. Totharam the care taker is a very nice guy. He'll help you with all your needs and concerns. The place was cleaned for us and Geyser and everything was fixed for us as we informed weeks back that we will be staying here. Would definitely come here again as this place for photographers. It has Ana amazing view of the Kailash range. At night you can do star gazing and Astrophotography.

One of the best places to stay in Kalpa. If you are planning a budget trip you can get a stay here at a very cheap and affordable rate. The place is clean, caretaker is very good and if you’d need any help for further journey from Kalpa they would give you the best advice too. The view from here is beautiful, all in all perfect place to be in Kalpa!

One of the great bungalow in this place. Just beside the Apple tree garden. You can find a lot of apples in the season just from the hotel balcony. Car parking, good foods all are available here.

Clean and nice rooms. Beautiful scenery from balcony of the rooms. The bungalow care taker is humble and take care of your each and every request.

I have visited kalpa twice and have stayed in chini bungalow only.nice clean and reasonably affordable rooms right in the centre of the market.the care taker was very helpful.provision of food or tea coffee etc is not there but that proves to be a good point to make you explore kalpa and sink in the mesmerizing beauty of this small village.i just love this place and will visit it again if given the chance🤩The entire range of kinnar kailash is visible from this place.
