Hotel Kalpa Deshang

In all my years or decades of traveling I have never stayed at a place with such gorgeous and stunning views. The picture and videos I have posted in this review do not do justice to how beautiful the views were. Situated at the edge of Kalpa village with apple tree gardens, this hotel is such a great place to stay and relax when in Kalpa.

I stayed in a dorm for 3 days. The room was clean, proper adequate with heaters and hot water. The staff was super nice. The owner Mr Negi was delightful to talk to and kindly even gave me 2 apples.

Would recommend this place to everyone in a heartbeat who come to Kalpa.

Probably the best place to stay at Kalpa. Most rooms have a spectacular mountain view. Beds are comfortable though might be short if you're taller than 180 cm. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is somewhat limited if you want to visit some shops or other places to eat. It might be important for some that there's an open area that could be used by 7-9 people for yoga practice or something like that. We stayed here with a group of 12 people and found this place filling out needs quite well. Thank you so much!

Stayed here in the month of June, and what an exceptional find this was! Not all rooms have the same quality / views so go for the delux room where we stayed for first two nights. The room is big, and comes with two walls of glass windows bringing in the magical view of Kinnar Kailash. Bathrooms seemed renovated and everything was very clean. Service was also good, with food getting delivered to our room when the footfall was low and also luggage assistance. When there are more people the hotel arranges buffet which makes sense. Of course they struggled a bit with service when the hotel was full.

cons: The top floor / terrace room had only a white light which somewhat marred our last night. Request to put warm light in all the rooms :)

Amazing hospitality. Super friendly staff. Shout out to Ronnie and Abhishek for being available whenever needed and helping out. Treated us like family. 12/10 will come and stay again. Clear views of snow capped Himalayas and mesmerizing darshan of Shri Kinner Kailash Mahadev in all his glory!

This place has both Rooms and Dorms. The hotel is a 5 mins walk from Kalpa centre/bustand/temple. The people who run this and the staff here will make sure you feel homely. And oh, did I already mention about the breathtaking view of Kinner Kailash from the balcony!? 😍

This is the best place to stay in kalpa if we talk about the view you’ll not get the best view of whole kalpa village from your room and they have good balconies spacious rooms with heated blanket and soft mattresses the food is really good. And the most important thing which i liked about this property is the staff members they are amazing they treat their guest in a good way and they have good communication skills.

I went here in November 2021 on the Spiti Expidition and leading a group of 7 guests, sponsered by Uncia Trails.

We were supposed to come Kalpa on our last day of our trip but due unforseen circumstances we came here on very first day of our trip in night 10pm around. However, we were not expecting any stay and dinner at late night but here the staff managed everything for 10 people very quickly. They helped us with luggage to the rooms and provided all basic amenities at night.

I am very glad to visit here and meeting Negi uncle was the blessings. Would love to stay again here if I will visit Kalpa in future.

Main attraction is the view from this hotel of Kinnaur Kailash changing it’s colour with the sun rays from morning till evening.

I would like to say this is a great place for staying in kalpa village. They are very helpful. I am a solo traveler. I am staying here for 3days. Everything was comfortable accordingly my need.

Prickshit was a fantastic host couldnt of done anymore for me. he took me on a tour of the town and offered his help with planning my journey. the food was fantastic and the property has amazing views

The stay was absolutely amazing to say the least. The location is fabulous with every room having an unobstructed view of the Kinnaur Kailash range. We were served lip smacking dishes and the head cook was extremely courteous. Each room was perfectly clean and all other hotel staff were very friendly. Our only regret is we didn't stay here for more than a day

Very good stay, Very good staff..... My suggestion to prospective travellers to this property is that please stay in touch with the hotel people to locate the hotel, as its in the heart of kalpa but very less labeling or advertising by hotel people being recently started. Very neat and clean room and washroom. Very comfortable stay. Very good food. Excellent location and view of mountains and Apple orchards. Ask for trek and sightseeing arrangements from the hotel people. Apple photography moments from the property, specially snow capped kinner kailash and other mountains and our Milky way galaxy. Mr. Ishan sharma is the hotel Manager and very helpful and courteous. All rooms are mountain and Apple orchards facing. Checkout some of the pics of property as well as views of Kalpa from there. Travelled with my wife and stayed in Hotel Kalpa Deshang for two nights. The Manger of the Hotel, Ishan Sharma, is a very generous and humble soul who took care of our needs very well. Provided us a very comfy room and even guided us for local sightseeing. The Rooms are exceptionally clean. Food was quite tasty, infact the most tasty food I ate during my whole 1+ week trip ( covering Kinnaur/Spiti Valley). The Rooms are equipped with 2 large glass windows on two sides and provide 180 degree view of Kinner Kailash Mountains. It is a Photographer's delight, Ideal for watching sunset and capturing timelapses.

The hotel is at a very very beautiful location in Kalpa! ❤ The view was just just very amazing! When we stayed there it snowed for 3 days continuously and trust me everyday we could see a different view we looked outside the window and balcony

The chef there I must say cooks super amazing food! It’s really so yummy that I overate almost everytime! The people at the hotel were extremely helpful, friendly and very very sweet!

Come here in low season and the price is reasonable. I stay in the dorm room and first night is just me. Had a great stay even made two more day extension. The owner Thakur (Enu) is helpful and friendly. I feel welcomed by all staffs (they gave me 2 apples for free) . Good for solo traveller. Recommend!

This place 'Kalpa Deshang' is very awesome and beautiful.The paintings,quotes and photos gives depth to stay there.The view of' Kailash Shivlinga' was beyond words ,I did meditation and it gave me divine experience.The food quality,service and cleanliness was good.Taking good memories with me.Thank you and best wishes for all staff members.

I stayed at Kalpa Deshang for 2 nights with my family. It’s not like a hotel but a luxury homestay. The hosts won’t actually make you feel that you’re away from your home. Rooms are spacious and clean. Spotless white linens. Washrooms are very well maintained. The view of snow clad Kinner Kailash range from the room is excellent. And the food they offer is delicious! If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place for you. I’d give 10/10 to this. And the manager- Mr. Ishan was really sweet to take care of all our daily needs. Would surely revisit the place!

One the best place with good food and amazing view.

Had a really comfortable stay here. The dorms are perfect for solo travelers. You get heated blankets and bed. Great view of the monastery and the Kinnaur Kailash range. Friendly people around.

Hotel is situated near Kalpa market, not suitable for aged persons but excellent for young groups or honeymoon couples. The hotel has an open terrace which offers magnificent view pf the Kinnar range and the mighty Shivling. Delux rooms have big windows and offee breathtaking views even from the bed. Stuff are very courteous. Tasty foods are also available in reasonable rate.
