Krishnayyana Katte Dam

Krishnayyana Katte Dam was a breath of fresh air amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene beauty of the sprawling reservoir, framed by lush greenery and rolling hills. The gentle hum of the dam added a calming ambience to the atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Beautiful dam located on the way to B R Hills, tricky climb as the steps are not in a good condition. Water levels are a bit low due to which there is no water flow from the dam as yet. Amazing view and atmosphere once you reach on top.

Very peaceful and calm place away. Best time to visit is either early morninv or during evenings. It is quiet hot durinh noon and there is no shelter. A good picnic spot to spen few hours.

There is no ticket counter and entry is free. It is a natural dam meaning there are no concrete walls built to store water. You need to climb about 40 steps to see the water. You have three access points and opt for any one and take a stroll around.

Carry umbrella, sunglasses and some water if you visit during mid day.

Surreal and mesmerizing views during early mornings and evenings.

since we stayed at homestay next to this dam, spent a lot of time morning and evening walking around to appreciate the birds, jungle fowls, peacocks etc. otherwise its just another beautiful lake on the way to BR hills. its a mud dam with stairs to climb to the top.

Really nice place to spend a couple of hours. The view of the dam is brilliant. Best time to go up there is during sunset. If you're lucky, you may spot some wild animals.

This place is at its best in the evening with orange skies and the backdrop hills and symmetric trees on the other end is just like a wallpaper shot.

Located on right hand side towards BR hills from Yelandur, it's a nice place with green hills in the backdrop of the lake. The lake looks like a picturesque place.. Good place for photo shoots

A great view spot , it's purely a joy to see nature's magic , the scene and the cool breeze can't be expressed in words.

Nice place , but no stairs to get to the top and have a view , climbing and getting down is a tedious job,

All steps are damaged , immediate action needed .
