MTDC's Indian Institute of Scuba Diving and Aquatic Sports

My experience with MTDC Scuba Diving was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and an infectious enthusiasm that set the tone for the day.

The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and patient, ensuring we felt comfortable and safe throughout our dive. Their expertise was evident in their ability to answer all our questions and guide us through the beautiful underwater world.

The equipment provided was top-notch, well-maintained, and reliable. It gave us a sense of security as we explored the depths of the sea.

The highlight of our adventure was the vibrant marine life we encountered. The clear waters of Malvan offered a stunning display of colorful corals, playful fish, and other fascinating sea creatures. It was like stepping into a different world, one that was calm, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful.

Post-dive, the team at MTDC went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They provided us with refreshments and shared interesting facts about the marine life we had just witnessed.

Overall, MTDC Scuba Diving offers an unforgettable experience that combines adventure, learning, and fun. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting Malvan. I can’t wait to dive with them again!

I was looking for a beach destination to celebrate our anniversary and stumbled upon a youtube video about this MTDC property. Tarkarli has been on my bucket list from quite sometime so based on positive reviews in google,I booked their suite for 2 nights. Place is right on the beach with a private acess and in-house restaurant that offers some delicious sea food. Infact whatever we ate was amazing. Resort is open, airy with greenry all around. All rooms have sea view and big enough parking slots to fit in big cars. One can enjoy cool sea breeze while sitting at restaurant or at their wooden huts meant for sitouts. Highly recommended for families.

This is a beautiful resort situated right on the Tarkarli beach. It has its own private beach. This is newly opened MTDC with Scuba diving training centre.
It's restaurant "Dive and Dine" is open for Non-residents too. So you can have lunch here and chill afterwards. Food is really delicious here. We tried Surmai thali n it was awesome. Solkadi was refreshing as it was freshly made. They take minimum 20-25 mins for the food, so it's better you order in advance.

We had an incredible time at the MTDC IISDA! Visiting with my friends for our first scuba diving experience, we were impressed by the thorough training and experienced instructors. The dive was unforgettable, and spotting jellyfish and other aquatic life added to the thrill. The hotel's cleanliness, excellent service, and delicious food at the restaurant made our stay even more enjoyable.

Beautiful property @ pocket friendly rates. What made our stay here memorable was the time spent at the restaurant, hammocks, gazebos and the wonderful beach attached to the property. The food was great, staff was very friendly and hospitable and ample parking was available on premises. Govt. certified scuba instructors will provide detailed training and take you on scuba expedition nearby. Room quality could be improved - there were few seepages. But a very memorable experience overall.

A must visit place if you are looking for an extra ordinary beach view stay and a professional scuba diving activity.

- This MTDC campus is specially crafted for Aquatic sports.
- The staff is so much co-operative and helpful and service is very quick
- Rooms are very spacious and cleanliness is maintained
- Scuba Diving is a main point of attraction here as there are some diving courses related to it and you get the training from expert PADI Dive Masters.
- Scuba Diving was a very memorable experience for me here

Had a mesmerising experience on my first dive.The instructors were very knowledgeable and guided me in every step of the overall process.
I am planning to visit again to relive the magic again :)

A beach resort, very pleasant stay, supportive staff, relaxation at best.
This is MTDC scuba training institute and also a resort with 8-10 AC rooms with two types normal and deluxe.
A direct accessible beach, almost like a private beach, a beach side restaurant with sea breeze, good food at budget cost, friendly staff try to give you best service.
A welcome at resort with welcome drink, specious car parking, 24 hours security at gate.
Various games equipment available at demand.
And apart from this, this is scuba training institute with big swimming pool and various course related to scuba are available. As due to lockdown these part is currently closed.
On demand beach side dinner and birthday celebration they can arrange at some reasonable charges.
I recommend this resort for someone who want to spend good relaxing time. One more advantage closer to devbag sangam and tsunami island.

I had a great stay at MTDC IISDA with my family. They provided excellent services and had a truly hospitable environment. The property is beautiful with a direct access to the beach. The beach is also well maintained and super clean. The rooms too, are very clean and comfortable. I personally recommend everyone to stay here.

Went in IISDA for Learning Scuba Diving and getting my certification in last week of Oct 2023.

First of all the Experience of IISDA was one of a kind and an amazing one.

I was there for 9 days for Open and Advance Water Certification and here is my detailed review:

Instructors: 5 star
The instructors are superb, professional and knowledgeable.
I was trained by Jitesh Sir and he paced the course as per my convinience.
He taught me each and every point in detail without skipping anything and also answered all my questions. He took all the efforts to teach me the aspects of diving and made sure i was able to demostrate them properly.
Other Instructor (Rutuj Sir, Harshali Maam, Datta Sir, Sanket Sir and Thomson Sir) are also good and friendly, when required they team up as buddy and do the required drill or skill.
They all take care of students safety in all possible way.

Equipments: 4 start
The equipements used are decent.

Staff: 5 Star
All staffs are good, they understand your requirement and do the best to help you.

Course Fees: Course Fees is the best in the country i would say.

Stay: Rooms were good but a bit costly for the amenities provided. The room I stayed in was like a 2500 Rs room but I pais 3800 Rs for it. But thats set by the Govt so The staff cant help in that.

Restaurant: Food was good and tasty but spicy. The infrastructure of the Restaurant was not that great, the walkway had broken planks and nails coming out and it was a bit risky. Its an open restaurant so night time dining was a bit irritating with night insects flying by. But again its the Govt that has to improve it and the staffs cant do much here.

Certain things can be improved in terms of restarant infra, dinig experience and room pricing which has to be taken care by the Govt.

If you leave that aside Overall From a course and instructor perspective it as really great and I will visit again definately for my future dives.

I couldnt have found a better instructor.

If you want to start your underwater adventure and explore the sea with scuba and also have a great scenic stay! Just visit IISDA in Tarkarli. It is backed up with a great wooden restaurant which serves authentic Malvani food and you can have food listening and watching the waves splash on the shore.
A fun experience is that I spotted dolphins while having breakfast!
Worth a time spent in this beautiful place 👌❣

Wonderful experience of Scuba Diving at Tarkarli at MTDC Scuba Diving Centre.
I was almost on the verge of giving it up due to improper breathing technique when my Scuba Instructer Vishal told me that he will wait and will not allow me go back untill i watch fish. Then I could do it with ease thanks to Vishal-Scuba Instructors insistence and perfect guidance.
I would recommend this institute to enjoy Scuba Diving fearlessly..

I visited MTDC IISDA for vacations and I truly enjoyed my stay there. The resort is a beautiful with a sea-facing view. The rooms are exactly like the images seen online, and had a very peaceful ambience. My children did scuba diving with IISDA and I can assure everyone that it provides the safest and the most enjoyable scuba experience. As a parent, I felt very comfortable with my children experiencing under-water diving with the trained instructors. Mr. Vishal, Mr. Vivan, Ms. Harshali, Mr. Sanket, all are brilliantly talented diver with IISDA who helped us all along.

I took part in Discover Scuba Diving at MTDC IISDA.... This was my first scuba diving experience and all the thanks to Master Vasant & team for the skill training and confidence they give, each participant was attended by individual instructor and were very patient in teaching skills to the satisfaction of each participant.... It was a 2 day activity, Day-1: starts at 3pm with paperwork, few basic medical questionnaire & video presentation, followed by practical under water skill training in the swimming pool. Day-2: Assemble at 9am & they took us 17-20 kms inside sea in a dedicated MTDC boat at dive site where individual participant & instructor dive into sea to experience Marine life..... Definitely look forward to dive more with MTDC IISDA team in future.... 👌

Thank you IISDA for facilitating one of the best experiences of my life. For someone who doesn't know swimming and is terrified of shallow waters, let alone open sea, I enjoyed the deep sea and was mesmerized by the stunning scenes of this alien world. We saw corals, eels, a variety of fish and a lot more for over 30mins.
The team here is jovial but professional... and well trained even for rescue diving. That gives you comfort in a commercial tourist place like Malvan.
Have to specially call out Anton here. He was extremely patient with my antics esp. on day1 deep pool training.. and ofcourse Suraj, Vishal and the boat master for helping us to accomodate our plans. A big thank you to the whole team for making it memorable.

After eating all those Thali options in nearby this is the perfect spot for some Chinese food. The quality and quantity here is very good.
Chicken lollipop, Chicken Chilli, Chicken Fried rice was very tasty from what I have ordered.
Just a 1 negative is they have limited quantity of food available and as they make your orders from scratch waiting time is more.

Very good food and sea view. Room is also nice. service staff is very helpful and polite. If you need to dive they provide good service. Also you can ask them to book auto or car if you want to visit other points nearby. The boating is also there you can visit many spots there are many water sports you can try.

An amazing experience. Was here for a week for my PADI Open Water Diver certification. Suraj, Vivan, Rutuj were the ones I am just naming apart from the whole crew who were always there to help and assist at all times. Suraj and Vivan in particular had a lot of patience to ensure I got a hold of the skills well. At no point there was any inconvenience or trouble. I'd actually thank these people for having me there. I've earned friends than just the training and my certification. As I write this, I'm still thinking of Cons that I can mention and am not able to think of any at all. It was that good. And this is the actual and the safest place if you wish to experience Scuba Diving. The other stalls that take you are just businesses.

I had my first scuba diving experience at MTDC IISDA! As someone who was terrified of it, I was at peace with the support of my mentors, Mr. Vishal and Mr. Sanket who guided me in the scuba training and pool sessions and Ms. Harshali who was with me in my actual sea experience. They have updated equipments and all the necessary precautions taken for ensuring the safety of the guest. It was only due to the support of these experts that I felt at ease doing this. They are immensely talented divers and are completely professional in their working. I thank everyone at IISDA for the facilities and support provided by them!

It was awesome place to explore and learn scuba diving. Special thanks to all Instructors for their friendly nature.
