Durga puja was celebrated in this ground by people of Dhankauda and Gengutipali with pomp and ceremony .A beautiful pendal was erected and clay idols of Devi Durga , Mahisasur , Laxmi , Ganesh installed and worshipped with proper rituals . On the evening of Vijaya Dasami the effigy of Ravan was set fire . This year the Ravanpodi was not successful due to rain .
