A.V.C. COLLEGE (Autonomous)

This was one of the best college in old Thanjavur district. In those days 1960s and 70s it was only gents college.Admission was purely based on mark and only few seats will be from management recommondation. I studied PUC and B.Sc physics in this college from 1977 to 1981. Excellent teaching and teaching staff will have to teach only in English and they have to enter the class in blassiar (coat), tie and shoes. Mr. R. Balasubramanian was the principal and I still remember all the professors who taught us. Dedicated staff. Our class photo, Graduation day photo and recently taken from the college entrance photo are added.

This is the best college in Eastern district. There are so many blocks here. development is like Chennai city. Excellent education and practical experience given by them. Most of family rushing to get seat for their children in the college.

My life here was amazing and inspirational.Students and faculty were polite and friendly.Their supportive nature helped me a lot to nurture myself. Moreover the environment is positive and more comfortable.

One of the best college. Excellent teaching staffs. Especially computer science department. Good atmosphere. I always love you AVC. My career starts from AVC college.

Anbanathapuram Vahaira Charities College of Arts and Sciences (abbreviated A.V.C. College) is an autonomous college located in Mayiladuthurai, India. It was founded in 1955, moved to its present site in 1957, and received autonomous status in 1987.[1] The college has been recognized by the University Grants Commission as a "College with Potential for Excellence".[1]
