HDFC ERGO General Insurance

I recently experienced a series of deeply frustrating events with the HDFC Ergo Motor Insurance, compelling me to write this review.

My ordeal began with a car accident on January 16th, after which I handed over my vehicle to the Malwa Jahangirpuri Service Center. Despite being promised a delivery by January 23rd, the process was continually delayed, causing significant inconvenience, especially as my wife is nine months pregnant and we desperately needed the car for her medical appointments.

The lack of clear communication from the HDFC Ergo team exacerbated our situation. Efforts to reach Mr. Harjas and Mr. Mandeep for an update resulted in silence. Customer care provided little assistance, only extending our wait with no definitive answers.

The situation peaked when I reached out to the NSP branch with an utterly disheartening interaction at the NSP branch. Mr. Ravi Rao, representing HDFC Ergo NSP branch, responded to my urgent request with shocking insensitivity. His suggestion that I should resort to using an Uber during emergencies with regards to my wife's pregnancy and it's not mentioned under the T&C about reimbursement of Uber bills, essentially dismissing my concerns as irrelevant, was both unprofessional and deeply insulting.

This experience has not only caused immense stress during a critical period but has also severely tainted my perception of HDFC Ergo's customer service ethos. I had expected empathy, swift action, and clear communication from a company of HDFC Ergo's stature, but was met with negligence and disregard.

In conclusion, the service at HDFC Ergo's NSP branch was far below acceptable standards, especially in handling time-sensitive and critical customer situations. I sincerely hope that the company takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary changes to improve their customer service, ensuring no one else undergoes a similar experiences.

Wouldn't recommend any kind of insurance from HDFC to anyone.

After soo many requests to check the auto insurance policy renewal, no updates provided even after trying to contact the senior management Subodh in chandigarh ....no response..very bad services after you buy their insurance
