Uma Maheswaram Temple

The Umamaheswara Swamy temple, in the Nallamala Forest Range, is about four kilometres away from Rangapur Village in the Nallamala Forest Range. The temple is located at the top of the hill and the road leading has wonderful scenic views of nature. There are four gateways to Srisailam and Umamaheshwaram is the northern gateway. Umamaheshwaram Temple is an ancient architecture, with unusual wonders. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Umadevi. The Shiva Linga has a pleasant appeal for the devotees and on the way to Papanasanam there are temples of Lord Veerabhadra Swamy, Lord Janardhana Swamy and the Lord Subrahmanya.

Lord Eswar is situated in this temple, and lord Eswar idol is not placed by anyone, itself came from hills and this temple has an ancient history, u can know from temple priests and now comes to nature is glorious and spectacular views, u can see from my uploaded pics, Must vist this place.

Very peaceful sacred place😍best place to visit for all nature lovers, this place is well maintained by the management. There are lots of monkeys in this place 😅one should be careful near them 😜We went on a road trip from Hyderabad to this place and at end of the day we are satisfied with the trip as we chose the right place✨
Note: Ghat road needs to be developed and parking facility needs to be improved more by the management. And some food outlets near by this temple surroundings will help tourists as we went long to find an eatery.

Umamaheshwaram (also known as Maheshwaram and Umamaheshrum) is a mandir dedicated to Shiva. It is located in the Nallamala Forest. Surrounded by natural. Based on hill. You would need to pay a hill toll (only cash). Can find wild animals such as difficult species of monkeys, snakes and etc. Can see water falls in rainy season. As of now you can hardly find digital/UPI payments, so please carry cash.

Beautiful and Divine place with stunning views!! Different pattern of rock in mountains astonishes for sure.. Too many monkeys make sure you don't carry any food in your hands. We can get to the feet of temple in vehicle or there is a stair case from the midst of nature if interested to explore more and more.

I love the atmosphere around this temple. It is up on the hill with very cool whether. You will see the water dropping from the hill on all days around the year. you will feel very +ve at this place. The Papanasini is best. if you love climbing and enjoy nature best place. according to the story this is the north door for Srisailam temple. Very beautiful and one of the best places for day out from Hyderabad.

Beautiful weekend getaway for a day for people living in Hyderabad. An old Shiva temple carved below a tall mountain (Nallamala hills). Every inch is scenic there. Thoroughly enjoyed a day trip. You may carry food and snacks.

Great place to visit and sit quietly and enjoy the scenery once you finished the temple visit. One can go on the top of the Hill too.

This temple is located on the way to srisailam , the road which is parallel to srisailam road.

Lord Shiva temple is located under small water falls.

Temple is very well maintained and we can feel peace.

Papavinashini is located inside the way where we need to walk for 3 mins.

Water in the gundam will not stop coming during summer also.
The water is crystal clear.

There is a way to Srisailam from this place, in olden days people used to go by the same way when the road was not built.

It was great experience going to Umamaheshwaram temple.

Temple is located 9 kms from Srisailam highway coming from Hyderabad towards Achampet Road. Excellent place to visit.

Uma meswaram temple was built 800 years ago. It was an old beautiful temple located in Nalla Malla hills. View from the temple is awesome if you are a nature lover. then you must be visited This Temple. there is a lot of monkeys. I have clicked one pic that pic is the best in my life.
