Loved it! The owner is a classy and polite man with whom you can enjoy chatting. He's also been really accomodating and gave us good advice about the city and even exchanged some money at the market price (we appreciated this very much as we needed some dollars in order to pay the Nepali visa).

Now the structure: well maintained and very clean, with big rooms, powerful showers and in a super central area. Just out of it there is a path to the Ghats (1 min walking).

Even though the prices of Varanasi are generally higher than in the rest of India, the structure offers a very good value for money and I strongly recommend to book here for your stay!

Only downside: the internet is a bit slow, but like literally everywhere else in Varanasi, so nothing to do about it. As the owner said: put the telephone down and enjoy the moment :p.

One of the best guest house with close access to banaras Ghats. Manager himself along with staff are very helpful and happy people. They have a Husky and a Pug. It's a treat for Dog lovers. All the amenities like Geyser, Breakfast in room are well taken care of. Very Reasonable price in peak season also. Plus if one is into Yoga. This guest house is next to Satyaloka ( Ashram of Shri Shivendu Lahiri ji) a famous Kriya Yogi.

Very good experience of staying here. Nice price for nice room, very sincere and knowledgeable manager (superb👍) and helpful staff. They can introduce the boat riding for Ganga sunrise, 300rs/per head in 2016. Boatman is a 13-14 years old boy, very humble. I took another boat before this one, super bad experience (sexual harassment) and asked more money when finished the ride. So strongly suggest you to ask the manager if you want to take a boat for sunrise.

Perfect location, very close to ghats, nearby to all cafes in the lanes. The manager Mr.Sanjiv is an excellent host and always ready to help you. In short, you will never be disappointed by the hospitality of this place. Rooms are clean and there is continuous hot water supply in the room.

One of the best and accommodating guesthouses that we stayed in India. It felt like home, Sanjeev & the staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast in the mornings on the rooftop with the view of the river was beautiful and delicious. This is the place to stay in Varanasi!

Excellent service with a smile no task too small for manager Sanjeev to handle , great location close to ghats, temples and general amenities. The most honest, friendly and helpful man I've met in my 6 months in India. In order for me to see the taj at the end of my trip he organised all my transport and cancelled one of my two nights with him just to ensure I'd get there. Absolute gentleman and a brilliant brilliant place!

Very cheap and excellent value in an otherwise expensive area. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and the fan does a good job keeping the space cool. The owner is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our brief time here.

Superb location n my room view of the Ganga was a blessings.

Good place to stay during vacation. Near to ghat. Only problem is that one has to walk near about 400mts from main road to reach the hotel. Behaviour of employees are very good and polite.

Shivakashi guest house is an excellent place to live in varanasi.The location of that guest house is near to all ghats and many important spot.The behaviour of manager Sanjeebji is very friendly,he has rich experience and knowledge about varanasi and its beauty.Staffs are good and helpful.You can enjoy local foods easily because many shops near by.I love this place in varanasi.It is very peaceful and secure.It is also very good and secure for girls.
