Beautiful hidden waterfall in Wayanad, to reach this place we need to do a waterfall trek, it was a crazy first time experience for us, it was definitely not a easy one. Few things to keep in mind before going for a trek:

1. Quality shoes with good grip. Trekking routes to waterfalls are usually slippery and filled with alge. A shoe with proper grip is must.

2. Rain protection for backpack, camera, mobile and self. Usually near the waterfall, the falling water spreads in wide area making everything wet. So protection for clothes, camera, food and other items in backpack is very important. Usually I wrap everything in my backpack in separate plastic bags. Also carry some extra polythene bags to carry your wet clothes back.

Also cover the backpack with rain cover, but usually it covers only back part of it and not fully - so protecting things inside separately is must.

Wayanad has mystical beauty. A lot of places yet to explore. It's a world wide international tourist spot. People in Wayanad live in the most simple way and are always attached to nature.

Wayanad is in the north-east of Kerala state with administrative headquarters at the municipality of Kalpetta. Wayanad District came into existence on 1st November, 1980 as the 12th District of Kerala consisting of Mananthavady, Sulthanbathery and Vythiri Taluks. The name Wayanad is derived from Vayal Nadu which means the land of paddy fields. It is a picturesque plateau situated at a height between 700 meters and 2100 meters above the mean sea level nested among the mountains of the Western Ghats on the Eastern portion of North Kerala and on the sides of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka States.

Most of the destinations are clean and neat. Walk in the Kuruva island is memorable. Worshipping Thirunelli Perumal in the peaceful atmosphere of the temple is an experience to the devotees.
