JNVs are among the best schools in India. These are residential school following CBSE curriculum. Teachers and routine of JNVs give shape to the fundamental principles of life of a student. It follows a strict routine under the guidance of principal and academic staff.
JNV Ratnagiri is situated in padve, Tal.Rajapur, almost the south end of the district. Currently it has 4 girls hostel and 8 boys hostels. Each hostel is accompanied by house master's quarter. It has teacher's quarters in between hostels and academic building. Mess offers the food to students as well as teachers, also it has a general Store which offers all the necessary things in day to day life of students. As you ascend beyond the hostels you can see grounds of basketball, kabaddi, cricket, football, volleyball and handball. Though the grounds are not prepared yet, every year students bring lot of glory in clusters and regional sport meets.
The academic block holds almost all the festivals throughout the year. Squared shape academic block contains library, academic office, principal cabin, PCMB labs, smart class, computer lab, classrooms for students, gym, sports room, storeroom, medical room and washrooms.
In total it's about 30-35 acre campus situated around 25km from the main city. Still it is among the best JNVs of Pune-region perfoming well in academics, sports and cultural events.

This is the heaven and i belongs to it. I m missing this place. We were first 10th batch which passed out from padve JNV, living together, so many fights, so many sharings, so much love n lot of mamories are still winning our hearts.
This is place where childs are trained to be a human, to be perfect in the skills, to achieve their aims. Teachers are so loving n caring, but with discipline there is no excuse. We are Navodayan and I know the guys who belongs to it have their special image in the society.

I am from Kolhapur. My name is pravara this school is my best school forever. Very great experience . Today I miss my school . During this corona situation i realy miss my school because today i know what is navodaya .Today I realised that I don't live without my school.😔😔😔😔😔

JNV Ratnagiri is a perfect place for learning. A place where govt funds are used most appropriately.
