Ramtirth Falls, situated on the Hiranyakeshi River, is renowned for its serene ambiance and stunning scenery. It's a popular spot for day picnics, providing a peaceful retreat from city life.

Legend has it that Lord Rama stayed here during his forest exile, giving the place its name. One of Kolhapur's must-visit locations, the waterfall remains perennial and is most captivating during the monsoon.

Apart from its natural beauty, Ramtirth is also home to numerous temples attracting pilgrims. The sanctuary in the area spans about 11 square kilometers, featuring diverse flora and fauna, making it a favored tourist destination in Maharashtra.

For the best experience, visit during the monsoon season when the waterfall is in full flow. The waterfall is open from 6 AM to 6 PM.

To reach Ramtirth Waterfall in Kolhapur:
- **By Air:** The nearest airports are in Pune and Kolhapur. You can hire a cab or take a bus from there. Goa International Airport is also an option.
- **By Road:** Located on National Highway 4, Kolhapur is an 8-hour drive from Mumbai and a 3-hour drive from Pune. Government and private buses connect Pune and Mumbai to Kolhapur regularly.
- **By Train:** Kolhapur Railway Station, on the Pune-Miraj-Kolhapur section, has daily trains to major cities like Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, and Tirupati. Weekend trains to Delhi and Ahmedabad are also available.

Very beautiful place. Well maintained road, enough parking space. Ram mandir is definitely worth visiting. The waterfall is also enjoyable. And washroom also available you can come with family

Awesome place where Bhagwan Sri Ram has stayed during vanvas. Nice and clean temple. Please visit this place. There is river nearby temple. Around temple there is dense forest. One can spend half a day.

Beautiful Place to spend time with your family and friends specially at evening. Waterfall is not that much higher. The temple of Lord Ram is Good. Best time to see the waterfall is July to December.

Wonderful place to get inside nature, very silent place, can spend hours of time without any distortion and come out of traffic city life, and enjoy the nature sound..

Extra Ordinary view of nature.
The waterfall is not high like the water if river falls from about 20-30 fts but the view is quite good.
Its a one-time visit.
