Post Graduate College, Ghazipur affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, and is accredited with B grade by NAAC. It would be worthily to mention that U.P. government has formulated a policy to develop twenty model colleges from N.G.O sector and ten from GOVT. colleges, for which initially top fifteen colleges From N.G.O the sector have been short-listed. It is our pride that P.G. College is one among them .We are striving to create a place among top ten. For last two years "College Placement Cell" has been successful to invite the corporate sector for campus placement. In the session 2007-2008, 17 students have been employed by the sugar industry.

College is good for studies. Each Professor has great knowledge and experience for teaching. This is post graduate college of district Ghazipur. This was formed in July 1957 affiliated with Gorakhpur University but now a days it is affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. The courses offered here are Arts, Agriculture, Education, Commerce too. It has a new technical wing named as TERIPGC which is offerings courses BBA, BCA, MBA and MCA.

I did my B. Ed from this collage on 1986. During my studies one very remarkable happening took place in the month of December 85, one college student was severely beaten by police inspector who died on 19th December . Professor B N Singh of our college and B.Ed department ,protested against this and he sat on dharna in the district hospital,students went on strike. Professor B N Singh was beaten by the Dy SP city and his right leg was broken, same time I called a captain who was neighbour of Dr. Singh and was residing just behind the Kotwali Ghazipur near Dr. Singh residence
In my presence captain scolded DySP and saved the life of Dr. Singh. Due to the students unrest and agitation ,mob was not under the control of ,then S P Beant sing ( Sardar) ordered for fire and himself took the gun and started fire. One Government Inter College student was killed,and several other injured.
