I am going to share about the famous college of my district and also in the state.This was established in the year 1888.The campus spread over 25 acres including various departments, The clock tower in the campus, giant tree shade with college maiden.This is the centre of excellence educational sector of Kerala.many of the leaders, professionals, artist, novelist are brought up this college. The college offers a good training, guiding, inspiring, motivating the students to bring them to a high possesion .There are 18 departments and 4 research centres. The students from this college are high in there professionals and also in there personality. This college produce a generation of well informed and emotionally sound generation and good ambience

Beautiful college with great history and reputation in Kerala. GVC produced great personalities in diversified fields of life including MT, TN Sheshan etc. It's an iconic destination in the town. Many movies are screened here including Sarvakalashala.

One of the best institute in kerala. One of the identity of palakkad district. Established on 1888 by British govt, in the name of QUEEN VICTORIA.The first principal was TC ELSEWORTHY. The college offers ug and pg and phd level courses in different subjects. The college provide separate hostels for boys and girls. The faculty and staff are very co-operative. All the departments are very good and provide research level facilities. A cross bridge is constructed above the road to enter college to help the students to cross road. Studying in this college is considered as pride for students.......

Government Victoria college in Palakkad, Kerala is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala. It was started in late 19th century as a rated school. Later, it was build into a college. The college campus is spread across 25 acres of land.In Palakkad, it is a matter of pride to study in this college. It is not easy to get admission either. Merit is preferred and only best students gets admission.

The Government Victoria College in Palakkad, is the oldest institution of higher learning in the Malabar region of Kerala. It holds a rich educational heritage in the history of malabar region. It is affiliated to the Calicut University[1] and provides undergraduate and postgraduate education in science, arts and commerce subjects.

The institution was started in the year 1866 as a Rate School as it depended for its finance upon an educational rate which was at that time levied by the Local Government. In 1871 the local Fund Act came into force and educational rates were abolished; the school was taken over by the Local Fund Board.

In 1877, the school became a Government High School and in 1884, it was handed over by Government to the management of the Municipal Council, Government paying the net charges of the college. In January1888 the high school was raised to the rank of a Second Grade College and was affiliated to the University of Madras. The Municipal Council resolved to work the institution on the salary grant system from 1st April 1894.
