A calm ancient temple that not many people know about. Has lot of ancient architecture. Pujas are still being conducted.

A temple built in 10th century. Well maintained but open from 7 am to 2 pm n closed in evening.

One of the oldest temple dedicated to godess Lakshmi and Narasimhaswamy. Temple is located in Malavalli-kollegal main road. Temple spread across acres of land surrounded by greenary, it's a massive temple completely built in stone pillars.

One of the most ancient Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temples in the world. Initially built during the Ganga period and later renovated during the Chola period and has been under the control of the Vijayanagara dynasty also.

Temple has a small Shiva temple also inside the premises.

Surrounded by paddy fields and mango groves, it is beautiful temple which host a famous rathothsava held every year. It attracts thousands of devotees.

As the temple is situated away from human settlements, it plays host to a wide variety of birds including Grey Hornbills, Jerdons bush Lark, Peacock, Green Bee eaters, Coucal etc

Ancient inscriptions are carved on the walls of the temple and also an inscription stone can also be seen.

It's said that it is a very old temple of 10th century. It is said that this was renovated during Raja Raja Cholan period. A very well maintained and clean. Parking is not a problem.

This is said to be one of the oldest temple around in our Karnataka. It's 1700 year old and the name of the temple is "Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy" temple.

I was moved by people around there, so helping and talks to you very humbly.
The temple is said to be administered by Govt. of Karnataka.
The main priest and others did let us know about the past and it's glory. Always occupied by devotees, this is one of the greatest temples.
Sometimes, one can witness 45 marriages around the temple.
I was told that in May, there's a function, that could involve huge numbers of devotees and it's glory.

To reach destination,it is quite simple. Get to the Malavalli bus station. And pick an auto or a vehicle, charged on hour basis, which is quite less.
After, reaching you could talk to the priests and make necessary offerings or puja.

The temple timings are:
Morning from 6 am to 2 pm
Evening from 4 pm to 7 pm.

U can avail lodges near by the bus station.

A very calm & serene place and no words are sufficient to express the positive vibes. Being at the feet of Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is a divine experience! 🙏🙏

Awesome place... More than 1000yrs old... Cholas heritage... Cool climate ... Family get-together are invited... Though kalyani is not so well maintained.. water facility available... Prasadam are very tasty... During festival season, its so stunning to enjoy. A must visit to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.

Pleasant place with beautiful sculptures. The temple is closed in the evening.
So plan accordingly.

Beautiful temple where you could have darshan and spend a wonderful time with your family. The lawns are well maintained, the kids had fun playing cricket.

It's very ancient lakshmi narashimha swamy temple🕌. It built over 1200 years ago. This temple completely built in stone . Usually Narasimhaswamy is in a fierce form but here in a calm form.

Clean and well maintained. Staff makes sure social distance is maintained and masks are compulsory. Flower decoration for the main deity is just marvelous.

The temple is open from 9am to 2pm.. they told from August there are two shifts for darshana 9 am to 2pm, 4pm to 6pm.
