Rivona Buddhist Caves

It's a very old cave built by Locals (Goans). Though it's not well maintained, but you can visit if you want to see a cave built in medieval times. You can go there without fear, there'll be a security gaurd all time. The way to this route is bit confusing, ask for the locals for the exact route

Peaceful and well maintained ancient Buddhist cave. The surroundings are quiet and calm. You can walk down the cave trail to reach the water stream. Great place to spend a peaceful time and to meditate

Rivona caves are good. Location is beautiful caves aren't so much though. You'll also find farmers working around

However , the area has been a lot littered
Hardly any maintenance by the government .
No proper sign boards . Pathway is dirty

Located in a remote place. This cave is located next to the kulagar. The place is serene and you can hear the springs

Naturally formed caves later used by buddhist monks. A must visit site for history buffs. The site is currently protected by Government of Goa.

It's just a simple cave but one can come here to see how monks used to live in caves and how they worshipped Buddha , to see age old carving which is now lately rubbing off.

This place depicts our ancient skills. A must see place for the ones who want to be a bit closer to our history
