It's a school to provide quality education to civil students. School provide training for entry in NDA. School has good sport ground, indore stadium, swimming pool, horse riding facility. Inside school SBI Bank, one well decorated MI Room for basic first aid, hostel facility with continuous observing by ward boys, a mess and auditorium with a capacity of more than 1000 students. School has completed 60 years.Everywhere inside the school posters are available for proper guidance. Students not only get education but also they become moraly upright. Students of sainik school tilaiya are good in all aspect not only in study. People is thinking good marks equivalent to good student but students average in study and good at all skill will stand in future. Students here come 2nd and 3rd in all india level English and hindi debate competition. Students played in Nehru cup. Here students are very good in games and they performed consistently well in sports.

This school is almost 1 km near tilaiya dam. From Urma more or BABA Hotel it is 5 km inside. Auto is available there. They hardly take 15/- per person. School weather is very good. Winter time it's too much cold. So any one who is coming in winter season are recommended to take woolen clothes. School is having very good teaching faculty specially in class 11-12 . I think these are the best faculty available among all Sainik Schools in India. Class- 11 & 12 faculties are the best teacher in Jharkhand for preparing NDA and CBSE. These teachers are also preparing outside students for NDA by online classes. Even Unacademy teachers can't be comparable to them. 5 Teachers have got National award by Honourable prime minister still now. It's a very good residential school.
