Nashipur Akhra and Raghunath Temple

This century old Raghunath Jiu Temple is located near the original residence of Mir Zafar in Jafraganj area. It is definitely a place to visit.

It is heard that when Mir Jafar got the Subedari of Bengal, Mahant Lachman Das Maharaj came here from Dhaka and opened this temple and service ashram. The marble and other materials used in this temple all came from outside West Bengal.

While there are small things to see in this temple including chariots, old cars etc., the main attraction is inside the main temple. I have rarely seen such a beautiful temple. Many idols including Raghunath await with antiquity inside. There are pujari and puja system. I can swear that once you get inside, you must want to sit down for a while. Ancient lanterns, rasa dolls, and the smell of incense in the dark environment of light all around have created a heavenly atmosphere.
Definitely spend some time here.

Nashipur Akhara is situated in the village of Nashipur on the east of the Bhagirathi River. Every year Jhulan Yatra and a famous fair is held in this place. People from far off assemble here to witness the dramas held on this auspicious occasion.
In the Nashipur Akhra very old articles like huge utensils, a chariot made of gold and silver, a vintage car is kept in small rooms, but none of them have proper maintenance. The vintage car is the most attractive thing here which cost Rs 80/- at that time.

This place is just mind blowing and the temple premises is taken my heart with its purity and ambiance

Nasipur Akhra is a tourist spot in Murshidabad district. It was established in the middle of the eighteenth century. Thousands of visitors visit and come here every year. There is a statue of Rama Lakshman Sita and Hanuman in Ramchandra Dev's temple in the palace built by the goddess of north India.

It is a Historical place of Nabab Age....u can see here many historical and intarseting things..At first u have to collect your tickets from tickets counter which will be open from 8 A.M....Tickets coast is 10 rupee which is too much(my opinion) I think it is not necessary to go there...u can find some guide here who will say about this place...guide coast 50 rupee ....

ফরাগঞ্জের দেবোত্তর ও দাতব্য প্রতিষ্ঠানটি মুর্শিদাবাদের একটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থাপনা। এটি মুর্শিদাবাদ পৌরসভা কর্তৃক ঘোষিত একটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থাপত্য। আনুমানিক ২৫০ বছর আগে এই স্থাপনাটি নির্মিত হয়। বাংলা ১১৬৮ সালে মহন্ত লছমন দাস ঢাকার উর্দু বাজার থেকে এসে মীর জাফরের আদি বাড়ি সংলগ্ন স্থানে এই জনসেবামূলক প্রতিষ্ঠানটি স্থাপন করেন।

জাফরাগঞ্জের দেবোত্তর ও দাতব্য প্রতিষ্ঠান দক্ষিণ ভারতীয় রামানুজ সম্প্রদায়ের অনুগামী এই বৈষ্ণবীয় আখড়াটি বিগত তিন শতাব্দী ধরে জাতি-ধর্ম-বর্ণ নির্বিশেষে সব মানুষেরই সেবা করে আসছে। মীর জাফর আলী খাঁর সময়ে লছমন দাস এটি তৈরি করেন। এটি রঘুনাথের আশ্রম নামেও পরিচিত।

মীর জাফরের পরে বাংলার মসনদে বসেন মীর কাসিম। মীর কাসিম মহন্ত মহারাজের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করে রাজকার্জ সম্পর্কে তার পরামর্শ ও উপদেশ নেন। মীর কাসিম তাকে অনেক ধনরত্ন উপহার দিতে চাইলেন। কিন্তু মহন্ত তা গ্রহণ করলেন না। মহন্ত তাকে বললেন, ‘শ্রীঘ্রই বঙ্গে ভয়ংকর দুর্ভিক্ষ উপস্থিত হইবে; সেই সময় এই অর্থ দ্বারা যাহাতে দীন-দরিদ্রদের উপকার হয় তাহার ব্যবস্থা কর’। এর কিছু দিন পরেই বাংলায় দুর্ভিক্ষ দেখা দিল, যা ছিয়াত্তরের মন্বন্তর নামে পরিচিত। মীর কাসিম মহন্তের উপদেশ মতো মানুষের জন্য তার ধন-ভাণ্ডার অর্পণ করলেন।জাফরাগঞ্জের দেবোত্তর ও দাতব্য প্রতিষ্ঠানএই মহন্ত লছমন দাস মীর কাসিমকে মীর জাফরের ব্যাপারেও সতর্ক করেছিলেন। মীর জাফরের ভয়ে মীর কাসিম অল্প কিছু দিনের জন্য তার রাজধানী মুর্শিদাবাদ মুঙ্গেরে স্থানান্তর করেন। তিনি প্রজাসাধানের ওপর থেকে করের বোঝা কমিয়ে দিলেন। কিন্তু মীর জাফরের সহায়তায় প্রথমে মুঙ্গের ও পরে পাটনা ইংরেজরা দখল করে নিল।২২ মন সোনার রথমীর কাসিমের মতো মীর জাফরও লছমন দাসের উপদেশ-পরামর্শ গ্রহণ করেছেন। এভাবে লছমন দাস সে সময়ের নবাবদের কাছে অত্যন্ত প্রিয়পাত্র হয়ে ওঠেন।

কথিত আশি টাকার গাড়িসময়ের ব্যবধানে আজ লছমন দাস, মীর জাফর বা মীর কাসিম ও নেই। কিন্তু এ প্রাসাদ ও সেবা কেন্দ্রটি আছে। এখানে আশ্রম ও ভক্তদের আনা গোনা লেগে থাকে। ভ্ক্তদের জন্য খাওয়া-দাওয়ার ব্যবস্থা থাকে সব সময়ই।

এর অভ্যন্তরে আছে প্রাচীন কাষ্ঠ শিল্পে খোদিত এবং রাজস্থানের তুষারশুভ্র মর্মরে শতাধিক বছরের প্রাচীন প্রাসাদ। বয়সের ভারে প্রাসাদটি আজ জরাজীর্ণ অবস্থা। এটি বন্ধই থাকে। পাশের ভবনে আছে ঐতিহ্যবাহী সোনার রথ, বেলোয়ারী ঝাড়, ঐতিহ্যময় আসবাবপত্র, প্রাচীন যুগের বেবি অস্টিন মোটর যান, পুরনো রান্না সরঞ্জাম ইত্যাদি। কথিত আছে, প্রাচীন যুগের এই বেবি অস্টিন গাড়িটি আশি টাকা দিয়ে কেনা হয়েছিল, যা আজ ছোট একটি গ্যারেজে রাখা আছে। পাশেই আছে সোনার রথ। দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য দিনের সব সময়ই এটি খোলা থাকে..
