However, I was disappointed to see the amount of plastic and food waste that littered the area around the temple. It is sad that some tourists do not respect the sanctity and beauty of the temple and its surroundings.

Here in the temple all devotees can donate calves as an offering and also it has a custom of donating the clay idols of human body parts to the Supreme Power parabrahma , it's believed that if we are suffering from any illness in any of the body parts , that's completely cured...

It is believed that the idol represents the diseased body part, and the offering will cure the sick person.

The main festivals of the temples are irupathiyettam onam which usually held in the month of September or October, 12 vilak which commonly comes in the month of November or December. Temple is also known as Dakshin kashi.

Ancient pilgrimage center.Oachirakali is a famous ritual performed here. In the Malayalam month of Mithunam every year ,performed war-like exercises. This is what is called Oachirakkali
