Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur

The airport is better than my expectations, all the basic facilities are available here. Although it does not have luxurious facilities, it is good to see all the basic facilities at Raipur airport. Plenty of parking space with sufficient space at pick up and drop area.

This is only International Airport in the state of Chhattisgarh, situated at capital city Raipur. I visited there on 12/08/2023 to take the flight towards Kolkata.

Smaller airport serving mainly IndiGo. Clean and organized. There is a luggage scale by the self-check in. Then checked luggage is scanned and locked before you go to the IndiGo counter. Multiple toilets are clean and have soap. There are three gift shops, one takeaway cafe, one wellness spa, vending machines, and eight gates. We enjoyed the samosas at the cafe 2.0. Several shops appear to be out of business or being renovated. The airport has several filtered water dispensers and device charging stations. The terminal building is spacious with high ceilings.

The airport is located at Mana between Raipur at a distance of 15 km (9.3 mi) and 10 km (6.2 mi) from Naya Raipur. It is the 26th busiest airport in India by passenger traffic.
Swami Vivekananda Airport has a single runway—Runway 06/24—measuring 2,286 m (7,500 ft) in length and 45 m (148 ft) in width.The airfield is equipped with night landing facilities such as CAT-1 instrument landing system (ILS) at Runway 24, and navigational aids such as ADS-B, DVOR, DME, NDB, and PAPI.
The new terminal has three aero-bridges, eight boarding gates, twenty check-in counters, eight X-ray baggage machines, four security counters, and two conveyor belts for luggage.

There is ample parking space. Paid parking space is available. CISF is very cooperative. Check in process is easy.

Located around 15 kilometers from the city centre and well-connected by road Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur is served by several major airlines.
It has a well-designed single terminal building and has all the necessary amenities like restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, lounges, and ATMs for the convenience of passengers.
Overall, a well-maintained and efficient airport that offers a comfortable travel experience to the passengers.

Great airport. It tops the rank as the best airport in our country. Due to its small size it's very easy to access everything.you can get a boarding pass easily and security check up doesn't take a lot of time. I once boarded my flight to delhi 10 min before departure time 😁😁😁.

You can get the cab facility outside the airport...there is conjunction with respect to online cab booking facilities...but you can get private cab booking agency outside...

Well cleaned and maintained place. not much crowd. Good place. Departure gates are divided into two floors. 1 to 4 departure gate is on ground floor and 5 to 8 departure gate is on 1st floor. No lounge available here at this Airport.

Easy to reach, small yet beautiful airport.
The staff is well behaved. It's a small airport, the food court is outside. Once pass security, the food & beverage options are limited.
Better to have food in the food court located infront of the airport.
Raipur is the only operating airport of Chhhatisgarh.
The bus services to reach here hasn't been operating at all. It's expensive to reach airport from the city given that it's located less than 12 kms from Raipur Rly station.

I had a pleasant experience in swami Vivekananda airport while traveling to Hyderabad from Raipur. It’s the employees that make the journey of the passengers pleasant . Harsh who was on the luggage security station was kind and helpful . I had seen him earlier too helping a lady guide through the check-in process. Sonya on the check-in counter was also polite and helpful. Glad to see airport employees stepping up in their jobs to help passengers.

Raipur airport has developed few years ago. It was previously called Manna is located in new premises. It looks very modern and it has lot of facilities. You have accessible entrance for ventures and also parking with the Cafe Food Court there our specialities also for pick up and it has recently been converted into an international airport for which the runway is in development. Must visit if you are in Raipur because you can also visit the Park which is in airport.

The entire process of boarding a flight is being shifted online to give passengers a hassle free experience.
I have taken flight via various airlines, and had never faced any issue for the travel.

The staff here are friendly, considerate and sometimes go out of the way to help passengers.

Well maintained and properly planned airport. All facilities available. Just be aware of unauthorised taxi driver outside airport.
Swami Vivekananda International Airport formerly known as Raipur Airport (Mana Airport) is the major airport serving the state of Chhattisgarh, India. On 24 January 2012, the airport was renamed after Swami Vivekananda, as a tribute to the popular saint who spent a major part of his life in Raipur.

Raipur airport is well maintained with a seating area, well ventilated, clean restrooms, and a few good joints. A lounge is required to add some benefits to the travellers. Overall, it is a good airport and connected with the major cities in India.

Chattisgarh has only one airport at Raipur of international standard.Still it is not fully functional for international aircraft. Security is very tight there and it's a very neat and clean airport and works very systematically. Washrooms are also very well maintained.

Its state of the art airport at Raipur, capital of Chhattisgarh. The airport is equipped with all amenities and facilities for the travellers. Its well connected with prime cities in India. Staff is disciplined and cordial. I was surprised to see Ola cab facility otherwise it was difficult earlier.
