This is a gorgeous view point. I just wish all the stalls etc were organised nicely to maximize the view points! The cafe and stalls are built quite haphazardly. That being said, the views are gorgeous! Misty hills and a sighting of the Himalayas! I walked in here not expecting to see the mighty mountains but we did! I totally recommend the telescope experience where 3 men will show you different viewpoints like the clock tower, the first English school, a small temple

Personally, when I went to this point, it was filled with fog with hardly any visibility, so I just loved it. Though there are many souvenir, magic, games led shops but the small cable car ride was the star attraction. Good place to hang out for an hour but as we were a large group of 100+ pax, we waited for almost an hour for our turn to get in the cable car as it takes approx 5 mins for next round of cable car. Approx 6 to 7 people can be accommodated in 1 cabin.

Beautiful place. You will get to see the Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath ranges very clearly if you are lucky and the weather is clear. Apart from these you will also be able to see some historical places of significance using a telescope. The views are breathtaking. Please do visit if you get a chance.

Gun Hill is one of the tourist attractions in Mussoorie you can visit Gun Hill by cable car or by doing a short trek. There are a lot of games to play at Gun Hill Point and the view you will have at Gun Hill is unforgettable and enthralling I loved this place as it feels like you are living in the clouds.

Gun hill is an important tourist place in Mussoorie. It is second highest point (peak) of Mussoorie (at an altitude of about 6640ft above MSL). It is located about 400 ft above the mall road. We have visited the place by walking from mall road point, a little bit tough, taking time/rest in between. But after reaching there we have enjoyed the event. One cable car (rope way) facility is also there to reach the Gun hill point from mall road (not accessed by us).
It gives a picturesque view of the Doon valley and mesmerising view of the Garwal Himalayas. There is a huge plain area after reaching the top of the hill and full of shops, activity centres and tea stalls. There is one telescope point (shows nine points with fees of Rs 100).

I recently visited Gunhill, which is the second highest point of Mussoorie. I reached there via ropeway, which was a thrilling experience.

The weather was awesome and it was cloudy all around, which made the view from the top even more breathtaking. I would highly recommend Gunhill to anyone visiting Mussoorie. The view from the top is absolutely stunning and worth the visit.

It's a must-visit place in Mussoorie and should not be missed. The ropeway ride was an added bonus and made the experience even more exciting.

Great place for sunset. Lost the vibe due to extreme commercialisation. Cable car price is high considering the short distance and not much views. Wish the place is maintained better. Closing time is not 6pm. Go near to sunset and find a place with good view. There are some cafes food places and shops. But none of it excited me.

It's almost at a distance of 2km from Mall Road and 1.5km climbing walk.
But all the sweat and tired faces vanish automatically, once we get on the point.
Because of the view upside is like Heaven, almost all of the Mussoorie is visible from that point.
Crazy experience, crazy view.

Best time to go is some time before sunset. The stalls have blocked the view. There is a small staircase that goes down to the temple behind the stalls. Go and stand there for an unhindered view of the sunset and the valley. There is a little restaurant there that sells sweet potato chat. Do try that. Do enquire before hand for the time for last ropeway ride down from the attendant.

One of the tallest places in Mussoorie to get a wonderful view of Dehradun on one side and Himalayas on the other. There are food and game stalls at the top.
You can either climb till the top or use a ropeway to reach. Ropeway costs 180 for the return journey.

Starting point of the ropeway is on Mall road, you can either walk there(10 min)from Gandhi chowk or take a rickshaw(100)
