Daragaon Picnic Spot

Daragaon Picnic Spot is a naturally serene place in the foothills and waterfalls located in the Indo Bhutan border towards the north western part of Assam. The routes are easily accessible. You'll pass through some of the local villages on the way. There are a few tea food stalls on the spot. However I would advise the travellers to leave the place before it's too dark because the area is often visited by wild elephants at night. The best part of it is that it's wild yet calm at the same time. Anybody looking for a refreshing escape must try atleast once.

Just one word to say " Awesome " . You can feel the shillong vibe here in monsoon season. Go and relax your mind 🌲❣

It's a peaceful place💚, mountain and River Valley View, 10/12km distance from the barama tawn.

Awesome place. Far away from town but it's worth the trip. Good for family picnic or a friends day out. The scenery is just out of this world, with the beautiful hills surrounding the whole area and the river just passing between them just amazing. But one thing do remember to buy all the needed amenities before hand as there are no shop's around the place. Its a bit of ride out of town but it completely worth the time. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Very beautiful natural view ....the Nepali people open shops for food ...and it's a very good picnic spot...the water of the falls are coming from bhutans hills ...for summer it's a cool place as I think ...many people go there for fun in summer..

Just a few kilometres away, and we have a hidden valley called Daragaon, surrounded by Himalayan subranges and a river flows through middle of the valley. I keep going there now-often . Here are some of the views of autumn from my recent visit .

Waooo one hell of a place. It's just the border between India and Bhutan. A famous picnic spot with a huge river surrounded by mountains. It's my 4 visit here but worthed. I really recommend this place for a picnic between family, friends etc. Bring your own food (although 99% people cook their own food near the river between the rocks you can really have a good time. Drinking is allowed gently. You can bring your own booze. Although I don't encourage Drinking, please be respectful to the people nearby and the locals if you don't want trouble.

The scene becomes better just before sunset. See it to believe it. Enjoy.

Daragaon is very beautiful spot ,which is around 90km from Barpeta Road and 20 km from Barhma fly over. Those who want to enjoy the greenary and want to play with fresh cold river water, Daragaon is the best place. Even it is better from Accoland.

Great place to hang out with your love ones...when you visit don't forget to grab some booze, so you don't have to feel apologetic about later..

You can enjoy the nature with local foods, beautiful Hill & Flowing rivers towards the plain land. In total you can enjoy aa lot. We Lovee. And please request you all that do not throw any plastic or glass materials, Wild animals get suffered by our activities.
