The temple is less commercialized and hence there is tranquility around. You get the vibes of visiting the temple with no efforts my the people around to monetize the divinity. One of the best place to visit in Trichy.

The structural is magnificent. Appreciate the sculptures who must have gone through ardous task of making this one of the beautiful place of workshop. The campus is clean and we'll maintained.

Jambukeswer Temple is one of the five temples dedicated to Lord Shiva as the manifestation of the five elements. This temple represents the element of water, and is also known as the Jala Lingam. It is located near Srirangam, a town famous for its Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

I visited Jambukeswer Temple on a sunny day in January. The temple complex is huge and has many smaller shrines and sculptures. The main attraction is the sanctum sanctorum, where the Shiva Lingam is partially submerged in water that comes from an underground spring. The entrance to the sanctum is low and narrow, and only a few people can enter at a time. I felt a sense of awe and devotion as I saw the Lingam surrounded by water.

The temple also has a shrine for Goddess Akhilandeswari, who is the consort of Lord Shiva. She is worshipped as the goddess of wisdom and learning. There is a special ritual that takes place every day at noon, where a priest dressed as a woman performs a puja to a holy cow in front of the goddess. This symbolizes the surrender of the ego and the attainment of enlightenment.

The temple is very peaceful and serene, and I enjoyed the architecture and the carvings on the pillars and walls. The temple is also home to some elephants and cows, which are considered sacred animals in Hinduism. I fed them some bananas and received their blessings.

I spent about two hours in the temple and felt very refreshed and rejuvenated. I learned a lot about the history and significance of the temple and its deities. I would recommend anyone who is interested in spirituality and culture to visit Jambukeswer Temple near Srirangam.

Very beautiful Chola architecture. Accurate parallel pillars of massive size. Spend time for art lovers - 3 hours.
The Lord Shiva is one of the panchabootha linga -- here representing water. Huge human made stone water tanks can be seen (but no water now).
Amman is Akhilandeshwari - the mandapam leading to Her temple is an amazing architecture. One straight line of 100+ stone pillars.
One must visit in Srirangam.

One of the "paadal Petra sthalam" In sangam literature called Devaram mentioning this temple. Big vast temple. You will feel fun while exploring the temple. There are lot of sculptures in pillars. Each sculpture tells a story related to lord shiv! If you love Archeology and ancient sculptures do visit! Apart from praying deity. Open your eyes and look all the art there. Art is the true divine

One of the most interesting temples with fascinating structures in it. Definitely worth a visit and the spiritual aspect of this place intensifies as near as you get to the main Garbha Gudi. There’s wheelchair accessibility as well for this vast expanse of space. The pillars are all interesting when looked upon closer inspection.

Thiruvanaikaval is a Shiva Temple. It is one of the Pancha bootha Sthalams of Lord Shiva meant for jal - water. Aadi Sankararar put thadangas on the ears of the Devi to reduce her anger. The Devi is called as Akilandeshwari - protector of the universe.
In the Utchakalapooja, the priest does pooja by wearing saree and thadangas in his ears.
The temple is located in an area of 18 acres of land with five praharams.
There are beautiful sculptures on the pillars of the Temple.

Temple is open till 1 pm when we went. has free slipper stand. I do not recommend Ola since drivers charge extra on top of original price. Temple is very big to cover all places and is a must visit during Trichy trip. Temple has free darshan as well 10,25,50 rs tickets just to skip big queue. Water and toilet facility available. Temple elephant seen around Amman Santhi. Blessings given only if amount is given made commercial.Prasadam sold taste good.

The temple is less crowded in the early morning and just short distance from the center of Trichy. Inside the temple, a woman sells food like puliyodarai and appam to devotees.

In this temple, we must visit Akhilandeswari, who consort of Lord Shiva. In this temple we see Cows and Elephants. These very good attractions to the temple.

We can walk upto the temple from Srirangam railway station. Very less trains available from Tiruchirapalli to Srirangam. Or we can pick any private vehicle.

Peaceful and amazing. One of the five temples of god shiva representing 5 elements of nature, here the water element.
There is an elephant in this temple premises which is one of the most beautiful and graceful I have ever seen, mesmerising. The divine goddess here is Akhilandeswari, important place of shakti worship in tamilnadu along with kamakshi, meenakshi.

From Amman mandapam road it took about 9 minutes to reach this temple. Devoted to lord shiva, called as Paaral Petra sthalam, there is water around Him. From a glass mirror you can see him or take a free darshan or paid darshan to see Him.

Crossing three Gopuram you enter Lord Shiva shrine. From His shrine 20mts walk takes you to Akilandeshwari amma. Built by Chozhas then developed by other dynasties, this temple is one of the ancient temples of south India.

Being my first time, I too went through the articles about this temple before visiting. So rather than history I am sharing pictures I clicked today in my phone. Pradosam and Shivaratri are very grandly celebrated here.
