It was founded by Maharao Khengarji in the year 1877. The museum consists of the region’s delightful diversity in craft and local living with inscriptions of Kshatrapa back to the one A.D. along with coines [Kori- A kutch local currency] as well as scripts [Having gujarati alphabets]. Other than that, there's an anthropological section, archaeological section, textiles section, weapons section, music instruments section, shipping section, and stuffed animals section. More particularly, there's a section devoted to the tribal community where one can see ancient artifacts, folk arts, and crafts and information about tribal people, who are a major part of Kutch's history and culture.
Visiting Hours for tourists: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM & 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Closed on Wednesday and Public Holidays. Having ticket charges of Rs 5/- . Parking is somewhat difficult to get in nearby areas.

The place is nice to view in short time like If you have 1 or 2 hours extra so you can visit the place for more info about the locals and culture. The ticket price is too cheap like for adults it 5rs and for students it's 2 rs only its a best side scene if you are staying in bhuj. There are many handcraft arts and old cultural things giving 5 star for its cleanness.

So if guide is available I could have understood more. Wonderful experience. Must visit. Market place is just 15 minutes away. So

It's a 2-storey building without a lift. It was part of the adjacent school in the ancient times, which was converted into a museum later on.
Charges: ₹5 for Indians; ₹50 for international visitors; ₹25 per camera. Takes about 1.5-2 hours for the whole self-guided tour.
First floor:
Remains from the Jurassic era, stone writings from ancient times (before paper was invented), obituaries of nobles and some superbly carved figures. Also figurines of local tribes are displayed that can be seen around Bhuj and Kutch.
Second floor:
Beautiful Bandhani clothes ranging from purses to large coats and sarees, small interesting beautifully artifacts like hairpins and vessels, some old coins and also old weapons used by the kings in ancient times.
Overall a great experience of the ancient history of the region with perfectly labelled self explanatory displays.

I wasn’t able to go inside the museum building because of afternoon closure, but the building, originally built by a British man to serve as a school, is in great condition on the outside.

The museum grounds have a few ancient sculptures as well as some old cannons/guns that were either used in battle or then were created for display purposes.

The details on the carvings/status displayed are noteworthy. Some of the tablets even have inscriptions in Hebrew.

Oldest museum, just 5 rs. Entry ticket, photography not allowed, takes just 20-30 minutes to cover the place, yet a place to visit for school students.
