Shree Lakheshwar Shiva Temple, Kera

Splendid creation of our ancestors. It is huge and most beautiful creation of carvings.

It is been believed that LakhoFulani has built this huge temple which was one of the greatest temples of loard shiva.

Must visit place if you are in love of Heritage work in India.

Shri Lakheshwar mahadev mandir-- Poetry in stone in Kapilkot -Kera - Made by King Lakho phulani in 1000 AD. The temple was damaged 200 yrs 1819 AD back due to violent earthquake. The carvings were compared to khajuraho temple. very beautiful place and water is available for puja.

This is one of the oldest Lord Shiva temple built in 10th century which is situated in Kera village. Nice location and well maintained by villagers. It is easily accessible by scenic road from Bhuj (Just 21km).

The Shiva temple, Kera, also known as Lakheshwara temple of Kerakot, is located in Kera village near Bhuj of Kutch district in Gujarat, India. The temple was built during the reign of the Chaulukya dynasty (Solankis) in the later part of the 10th Century (9th to 11th century) and is dedicated to Shiva. The temple has been subjected to severe earthquake damages during the earthquake of 1819 and the Bhuj earthquake of 2001.But the temple's spire, inner sanctum and the sculptures are still in an attractive condition.

Its wonderful historical place in kutch. It was constructed on 10th century temple.

Ancient Lord Shiva Temple which was built in a Tenth century. Some part of a temple has demolished due to earthquake occurred in 19th century. Still carving on stone represents Indian culture and history. It's a Heritage of a Kutch. Nice place to spend time with family. Recommended to everyone.
