Everything was wonderful. George and Dai are very, very kind and helpful, the area and rice paddy field view is beautiful, the food was delicious and rooms clean. We literally recommend this place unconditionally! Remember to see all the plants and crops they grow. Communication via whatsapp was totally smooth!

I stayed at George's wonderful homestay at the end of January for 3 days and I absolutely loved it !
The area is stunning and far from the crowds.
George is a lovely person, he will give you many suggestions for beautiful hikes in the surroundings. Also his food is amazing !

Staying with George and his wife Dai was an absolute pleasure. He gave us advice to help save us money during our time in India, had a pair of bikes for us to use for free and arranged all necessary transport to and from his homestay. He is a really friendly, intelligent man who we enjoyed spending our mealtimes with - he really made us feel at home. The homestay is located in a quiet, beautiful part of Kottayam with easy access to the ferry across the backwaters and stretches of beautiful canals through quiet villages. The room comes with a fridge, hot and cold showers and was very clean. There are some hammocks outside that look out onto the beautiful green surroundings of rice fields and palm trees.

This should be commended for its eco credentials! You eat home grown organic food and George the very kind host explains his local fight against plastic pollution. Really recommend as a great place to chill out in the backwaters - much better than a houseboat!

One of the best homestay near Kumarakom, overlooking beautiful and lush green paddy fields on one side and waterway on the other side(you can boat canoe etc..) . will get to experience the best of what Kerala has to offer. Highly recommended. Great place to spend some quiet time in the midst of nature.

The best place to stay in Kerala, and possibly all of India. A gorgeous setting, in the backwaters near Kottayam, surrounded by coconut trees, canals and rice paddies. Unbelievably generous and gracious hosts (George and Dai) who will do anything to look after you and cook you delicious (Syrian Orthodox) Keralan food. Friendly neighbours. All sorts of wildlife on your doorstep, from birds to toads and monitor lizards. Easy access to boat trips and transport to Kochi or Munnar. It was so nice I ended up staying here for 2 months, and I will definitely be back. It will feel like your second home. Thank you George and Dai!

Wir haben uns bei George und Dai sehr wohl gefühlt. Beide sind mit viel Herzblut für Ihre Gäste da, Wünsche und Wohl der Gäste haben höchste Priorität. Sehr leckeres und gesundes Essen, größtenteils aus eigenem Anbau. Intensiver Austausch über Land und Leute, Kultur und Politik. Auch unsere beiden Söhne waren begeistert! Hilfreiche Tipps und praktische Unterstützung bei anderen Aktivitäten wie Bootsfahrt, Wanderung, Tempelfest, Wäschewaschen etc. Sehr freundliche und kommunikative Dorfbewohner. Sehr zu empfehlen!

C'est un endroit de rêve, paradisiaque et surtout un personnel de qualité, humainement parlant, aux paroles séraphiques. J'y retournerai.
