Kafai Tamrong Eco Camp, Ranikhamar

It is a beautiful serene place by the river.
1 hour drive from Mirza point. The owners have kept the place synonymous with the countryside feeling. Beautiful thatched cottages. Their hospitality is worth a thousand words, very caring. They provided a boat to go to the nearby shores from where you cab trek to a beautiful waterfall. Finally the food is full of local herbs, veggies, chutneys and salads, quite delicious ans wholesome. Highly recommended to those who are looking for a nice silent warm getaway from the hustles of the city.

Good food and courteous staff. Room was basic with a couple of mattress and bedding and a couple of plug points. There was a common toilet which is not cleaned regularly after use by so many guests and the staff.

I had booked this location for lunch( 5pax), but due to medical emergencies in my family, I had to cancel our plan. So I thought of informing them beforehand early morning around 9 20am, so that they don’t make any food arrangements. The concerned person who took the advance money, showed no empathy of my situation and bluntly said that there will be no refund as the arrangements have already been made. I don’t understand if the booking has been done at 12 30 am and i had done the cancellation at 9 30 am in the morning, the concerned person is claiming that they already did the shopping, arrangements, everything for us. I can now just assume that the concerned person Mr Utpal is so lost is doing hospitality business( looting), he almost forgot to empathise their customers situation. Well this is how you loose customers brother. Happy running hospitality(looting) industry.
