I had a wonderful experience here.. the garden and the yard are well maintained. It takes about 2 hours to visit every nook and cranny of this museum and check out everything. I loved the toytrain ride, too. But I do have one complaint, I really wish the security personnel were a bit more aware and alert about people who were sitting or touching the museum exhibits displayed there. I have seen some visitors sitting on the sandbox of the steam locos on display in the shed. I notified the securities, but they didn't do or say anything. Such apathy towards the exhibits on display by the staff working there would bring nothing but damage to the display and its reputation.
Otherwise I really enjoyed our visit

The railway museum is situated beside the Howrah Railway Station Goods Yard and just opposite the Riviera Auditorium. The entry fee is 30 rupees. They have nice exhibition of old railway wagons and engines. Also, there is a toy train ride which gives one round around this museum to show a surrounding view and it costs another 30 rupees. I visited this place on weekdays and it was not much crowded at that time. Also, there is a nicely maintained and decorated garden with varieties of plants inside this museum.Interesting places for kids and railway lovers. This place 8 to 10 minutes walking distance from Howrah Railway junction. Ticket price are cheap only ₹30 per person. Although it was ₹10 few years ago. I hope you can visit this place I know you will love it.The main attraction is TOY train. If possible than ride this toy train and you will enjoy it.

The place was easy to locate and the navigation was accurate. (Walking distance from the Howrah railway station). First up, there is no dedicated parking spot available, so it’s recommended to use the parking spaces opposite the Railway station. The entry fee is low and the place is well maintained overall. The museum is famous for its collection of old locomotive carriages and artifacts of Eastern railway services from the same time period. The toy train and scale models of locomotives are another attraction. This place also doubles up as a picnic spot as there is a lot of open space that’s well-maintained.

It is situated at Howrah। It is situated specifically nearby howrah railway station -new complex। You could go their by walking from howrah station । It would take 10 minutes walk। You could go their by car also. It is regional railway museum। Old age engine, train wheel etc are preserved over there। Histories of Indian railways are kept over there। But the proper maintenance is not shown। Proper security is also missing. There is toy train service। You could enjoy that ride and could roam around that museum without walking। But if there is voice over along with that ride, we could more enjoy that ride। Ride timing is very less। It is almost 3 minutes. A trampoline is there for kids। A train coach like restaurant is there। But the cost of the food is very high. Entry timing is from 11am to 10pm। Entry fare is RS. 30 for each। Toy train ride fare is Rs. 30 for each. If you want to spend one half of a day you may visit there to gather knowledge about Indian Railways

This place is just five minutes walking distance from the Howrah Railway station.

It's a very nice place to bring kids. Very good and clean place. Heritage and old train compartments and old engines are there.

One small toy train journey is available here with 30 Rs per head charge.
Entry fee is 30 Rs per person and it is open all day from 8 AM to 8 PM.
This park is also open for morning walkers from 5 AM to 8 AM with a daily charge of Rs 10 or monthly pass of Rs 200.
Though no outside food is allowed here, there is a rail coach restaurant available for food.

It is a small railway museum that showcases the heritage and history of Indian Railways. Located along Foreshore road, beside Howrah railway station. The museum has several historical railway locomotives and kiosks which display various old railway equipment. Also, there is a miniature of Howrah railway station inside the museum that has a collection of rare photographs and history of East Indian Railway. You can also enjoy a short toy train ride in the museum premises. Entry ticket Rs.30 (excluding toy train ride). Overall, it is a must visit place for railway lovers, educational tour.

I had visited the place in the month of October 2022 with my friends.

It is a 10-15 mins walk from Howrah Railway station. The entry fees was ₹30 each.
If you like trains or a train enthusiast, you can visit the place for some history. Kids will definitely like the place as they can ride toy trains there. Winter would be best time to visit the place. It can act as a picnic spot.

I felt nostalgic to see the train coaches and engines from bygone era. The museum has a rich collection. The evolution of rail transport system in our country is very interesting. I would like to request all the parents of young children to take them here, they will enjoy and learn.

It's a heritage museum of Indian railway as well as well maintained park for child friendly. There are a lot of things for children like toy train, jumper etc.
Here you are able to see very old rail engine which are used by before independence, during the Pakistan war, east Pakistan war. You may take a snap with this also as a pilot.

Located next to Howrah Junction, this is a unique museum. Very few countries possess a railway museum and India is one of them & this smaller version of the National Rail Museum in Delhi is almost unbeknownst to most residents of Kolkata.
Tickets are around ₹40/person and you'll get access to such unique machines from a bygone era. My favourite was a steam locomotive of the erstwhile East Pakistan Railways captured by Indian forces during the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971.
