Vidyasagar Setu Toll Plaza

Vidyasagar Setu is a very important bridge in Kolkata.This bridge is located on the river Ganges.This bridge is the means of communication between Kolkata and other districts. A toll is provided for the maintenance cost of this bridge. Tolls are charged for coming to and from Kolkata over this bridge but no tolls for bikes. There are two different roads to go over this bridge.Out of the lanes of the toll plaza to cross this bridge, lane number 6 is used for VIP vehicles.

Vidyasagar Setu is one of the most important bridges of West Bengal. It connects the Capital of West Bengal, Kolkata to its twin city Howrah. You can spread out any part of West Bengal or any part of country through national highways from Kolkata through this bridge. You have to pay toll at this bridge. But the condition of the bridge is now deteriorating. It was in much better condition in earlier days.

You need to cross Vidyasagar setu if you want to go to kolkata. Another option is Howrah bridge. Nabanna is adjacent to Toll plaza. Very important highway lane.

The importance of the bridge has increased manifold since 2013, West Bengal State Secretariat had shifted its office to Nabanna, located adjacent to the bridge on the Howrah side. It's also called Howrah 2nd Bridge....

Best place to enjoy Bike and car ride. Parallel to Howrah Bridge you can enjoy the scenery and view from the bridge. The River Ganga is flowing beneath.

The 2nd bridge (Hoogle Bridge) standing on the Ganges is one of the most popular bridges in India which is located in Kolkata. Driving over it is different! Kolkata plays a key role in connecting the city with other cities of India.

Awesome toll plaza. All workers are very helpful. If someone coming from Shalimar station he can get bus here for sealdah or other parts of Kolkata. It just 10 min walking distance from Shalimar station

Toll Plaza for Vidyasagar Setu or Second Hugli Bridge on the Howrah side of the Bridge. Two Wheelers are exempted from taxes since 2018. Fastag service is available here although it's not compulsory. Toll Plaza is separated for Santragachi and Andul side. Area remains moderately crowded based off traffic rush.

Unpredictable place, sometimes it empty as a highway, something super long wait behind lots of cars

Need more traffic police for controlling of Viechels and need more maintenance of roads
