Phonda ST Stand

This a famous ghat and well known for travellers coming from Kolhapur,Pune and going to Kankavli, Goa.
This place has its own vibe and is a very good place to travel through to Goa/Kankavli.
Especially in rainy season this place blossoms up and is throughout green onto the mountain ranges and is topped with clouds and the road cutting it.
You literally drive through the clouds when you are passing through this ghat.
It is heaven in Rainy season and also the roads are very good to drive.
As this road goes through lots of small villages hence there are no big hotels, refill stations on the road and the only big village or town that comes is Phonda ghat village.
There are a few small hotels but not a lot of them.
Although the road is good it has very less traffic hence would not recommend taking it at night unless you crave for the spooky feeling.
During the day this road is blessed with something for everyone.

Alternative to this road is Gaganbavda ghat which can also take you to Pune via Kolhapur which is also a good ghat but not as Phonda ghat.

फोंडा बस स्थानक हे खुप जून बस स्थानक असून, जर कोल्हापूर ला राधानगरी मार्गे जायचे असेल तर बसेस बहुधा फोंडा मार्गे जातात, फोंडा बस स्थानक हे सह्याद्री पर्वत रांगांच्या कुशित वसले आहे.
