Book Cafe

I think it's my absolute favourite place in Shimla. The ambience. The food. The service. So so good. I think I spent around 6 hours here today. I had cold coffee and cheese maggi in the morning, vada pav + chai combo in early evening and hot chocolate at night. And each of these food items was absolutely delectable! Totally totally recommend, especially if you enjoy reading a book with a hot beverage or you're on workcation <3

A very classy place. You can get amazing food at a good price. The collection of the books are also great. The scenery from the cafe is also awesome.

Came here in the morning at ten'o' clock ...hung out here till 3 in the afternoon. This place has got that vibes for a solo traveller..to sit, relax, read, sketch , and work too with a great view. Had a cheese sandwich, maggi, red velvet cake, french fries and cold coffee with icecream. The cold coffee was so good I had two of them . Wouldn't suggest the French fries but the rest of the menu is heart filling and very budget friendly. The music vibe and atmosphere of this space is serene. Definitely recommend for solo travellers who want to catch the proper vibe of Shimla and lose themselves in their own solitude.

Visited a delightful book cafe—cozy ambiance, extensive book collection, and friendly staff. The Chilled java paired perfectly with my chosen novel. A must-visit for a tranquil literary escape!

The cafe atmosphere is very nice, quality and prices of the dishes is reasonable. Service and the nature of the people’s are excellent. I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of this cafe. I highly recommend to visit once.

Really Loved the place, i tried the Vada Pav and as someone from Mumbai where vadapav is like a daily dosage of food , the Vada pav over here didn't disappoint me it was awesome, also they asked me for more improvements for their vadapav that was really a good point for customer satisfaction, the next best thing for me was the music taste of the place normally I would plugin both my earphones at cafes but here I just had to vibe with the songs being played , next up would be the price everything is pocket friendly without any compromise on the taste , lastly loved the staff all were friendly and gave a warm welcoming sensation. if you're visiting in the morning a bonus point will be the View it's astonishing ( at night as well but the glass reflection at night was blocking it )

Now it has been outsourced, the food is affordable, delicious and the service is smooth.
The location gives you great sunset views. And such a place in Shimla is rare.
I had some Pav bhaji as it's now called Pav and pages (book cafe) and the food had some homelike simplicity to it which tourists might miss when traveling.
Overall its a great place

A very beautiful view from the cafe. The food is good in taste. You can eat outside also while enjoying the mountains.

The Book Café is a cute, compact book café in a prime location on Shimla's Ridge, close to Christchurch. Bathed in beautiful natural light, streaming in through big windows on two sides, it has narrow bar-like wooden ledges next to the windows. These have delightful, expansive mountain and valley views of Shimla, north of the Ridge. The café design and music is trendy, the snacks and drinks reasonably priced. No wonder, it's a popular hangout for Shimla's youthful crowd.

One of a kind cafe... Nice bakery products... Must try the pudding cups.. a special feature include availability of books for reading while having coffee. People can donate books.

This is a small facility but amazing , being managed very well they serve a small menu of fast food and baked items , located near to theridge at taka bench , they have a good collection of books one can spend some good time reading over a cup of coffee , must visit when in shimla , thefood quality can be improved a little bit ...!!!

Book cafe is situated above the Ridge, Shimla. This place provides certain positive vibes that can only be felt in person. Reading books in the lap of nature while enjoying your coffee is an ideal way to spend your mornings or evenings. This cafe is being run by prisoners of Kaithu jail, Shimla. The cafe has a wide range of books, but you can sit here for only an hour.

Newly opened cafe! Just on the way to jakoo, the cafe owner is really nice and welcoming. They have variety of coffees (from coffee beans) and also variety of food. Its a must visit and also if you support local (unlike the commercialised main street😐)

Very good ambience.. a nice cozy place to have coffee with friends... The staff members are amazing band very good nature wise.
If you want to spend some quality time with friends, this is the best place to be..
