It's a 156year old catholic church built by the Dutch,now under the Diocese of Kollam, situated in the bank of Ahtamudi lake in Munro island with an exotic panoramic view.
It is a silent place.There is a small shrine of Mary Matha infront of the church,those who wish to pray there can do it .To reach here ,come to Munro island -to Pezhathuruthu-go to Edachaal .300mtrs from Edachal road by walk and on the way to cross the Railway line and the Church is next to it.Biju George

It one of the walkable distance from most resorts in Munroe Island. It a 1.5 century old church built on collaboration style of Kerala and Dutch Architecture. Built year 1878 A.D. It's still operative on weekends. The church is inside trees like a small forest, you need to cross a railway track to reach here. Church is maintained well. A nearby motorboat cruise ride is there in the lake, I don't know the charge, but it's cheap only. I met a local person, named Rajendran- a nice talkitive guy around 60+. See the photos, a must place to visit in "Munroe Island".

Dutch Church constructed in 1878. Located on the banks of Ashtamudi lake, there's no road to this church, one will have to park their vehicle on the main road and walk 150 meters, crossing railway tracks and trekking through a field.
There are no regular service held in this church however the lake front is an awesome place to click pictures and spend time.

This church is in a very nice place. If you reach this place by walking you have to carefully cross the railway (no bridge). Visitors can reach by boat, there is a small dock too.

It's a beautiful spot, u could see the old church and go there after 5pm so u could see the sunset and all, roam to the ground on the right.
