SUNDARAM AUTO COMPONENTS LIMITED – PLASTICS DIVISION (SACL-PD), formerly Sundaram Plastics, is a subsidiary of TVS group and is engaged in the manufacture of plastic painted components, for automotive & engineering applications. Now, it is a division of Sundaram Auto Components Limited and having three sites. The mother plant (HO) is at HOSUR & the other units are at CHENNAI, MYSORE. BHIWADI & NALAGARH. The mother plant had commenced its commercial production in 1988, whereas the Chennai site started commercial production in 2007. The companies are now supplying plastic components and products to automotive, home appliances and electrical industries as per customers’ design. The major customers are Ford, Hyundai Mobis, Daimler, TVS, Takata, Visteon, Hanil Automotive, Whirlpool India limited etc. In the year 2012, Chennai site commenced supplies to M/s. Daimler India and AL-Nissan.
In 2013, a strategic alliance with M/s. Montaplast, GmbH (FORD) for the air intake manihold established. The sites are certified with IATF 2016, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 standard by Bureau Veritas.
