The stay in Monroe island was wonderfully amazing thanks to the warmness of Mundro Garden Homestay. The rooms were so confy. Deepa and her family were so nice to us. the sunrise boat navigation arranged by the homestay was magical. The kerala Indian cooking class was so fun and the food so tasty.
I highly recommande.

What a beautiful Homestay in such a magical place! Deepa is a wonderful host and a very talented cook! Her and her father were the sweetest and most welcoming during our entire stay. Deepa was lovely company and arranged for all the tours we wanted to do. Even a last minute birding adventure that was absolutely incredible. Can't wait to be back and enjoy her hospitality again. House was superbly clean, comfortable, and spacious.

My family and I had a great time here. The rooms are spacious and clean with attached balconies. The location is perfect, and our host, Deepa, arranged canal tours for us and took us to the local festival, both of which were amazing experiences. She also cooks delicious food!

We stayed in the homestay for a day and it was great staying there. Their homemade food was excellent and lighter for the stomach at reasonable price. Deepa and her family were friendly and were very helpful. They even packed us lunch for our train travel . Felt like family. I would strongly recommend to my family and friends

Very warm place to be

Simply stunning. A wonderful homestay to spend a fee days in. Deepa was exceptional in her hosting and helped us out with everything. She organised a fantastic sunset canoe trip and a brilliant cooking class. I highly recommend staying with her and her lovely family. It was a highlight of our India holiday and you get to experience village life and the quieter channels of the Kerala backwaters.

Deepa is an amazing host. She went above and beyond in every regard. Her cooking was delicious and she even made us a traditional dish that we really enjoyed eating with our hands. She cooked most of the meals for us during our stay and recommended great places to eat when we went out. She organized all of our very fun activities including a canoe ride from her super cool uncle, kayaking, and bike rental as well as our transport off the island to our next destination 2.5 hours away. Her parents were wonderful, kind people who also took great care of us. They have lived there for generations and you can tell by the care they take of their space and respect they have for the island and their guests. It’s their home but they will make you feel like it is your home as well. The space is beautiful and relaxing and comfortable. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We stayed for 3 nights but definitely could have enjoyed it longer!

The rooms are nice and spacious with a pleasant wooden terrace. The real highlight is Deepa who is an amazing hostess. She arranged the canoe ride, rickshaw and all the meals. She showed me the place for a special Munroe lemonade (you can't miss it!) and the Hindu temple where the religious festival was ongoing. I highly recommend her homestay!

Munroe island is a great place and it gets even better when you stay with Deepa and her family at Mundro Garden Homestay.
The place is clean and very well located, the food she offers is just delicious and you can go for sunrise and sunset walks quite easily as Deepa takes care of everything for you!
She even took me to visit a temple in the town and taste the best soda on Munroe island!

I'd definitely recommend staying here for your holiday!

It was a great stay. Deepa is a great host and a great cook. She helped us in booking canopy ride and cooked delicious meals for us according to our customization as we are vegetarians.

Five days of immersion in munroe island in bicycle on foot in boat in kayak . Everything is possible thanks to the advice and organization of Deepa who welcomed us warmly. Many contacts with the inhabitants during our encounters full of surprises. The guesthouse is well located, quiet, meals are delicious and Deepa is really sweet and very available to meet our requests and needs. We recommend, an authentic experience off the beaten track. A perfect place for the gate away. Deepa arranged canoeing at the time of sunset which is absolutely a mesmerizing and memorable experience with mangrove trees and arches.

I visited Munroe with my sister in February 2023 and had a pleasant stay here. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped with the basic necessities. Deepa, a lovely host adds further charm to the place with her services. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she was always ready to make our stay the most comfortable. She also suggested the itinerary for our 2 days stay there and ensured we have everything we needed to experience the place. Little conversations with her and her family made the stay even more pleasant. The food was amazing and was served right on the time we needed.

Large room with nice outdoor terrace area in peaceful environment. Deepa was a great hostess and organised dinner for us each night and helped us with ideas for activities. We did a sunrise pole boat ride with her father. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Book direct!
