Chandra Kund

A dip in the holy Chandra kund is a really memorable experience.

Will share some valuable input on what to expect there.
You need to pay 20 rupees at the entrance of the Chandra kund if you wish to go to Chandra kund. You can either opt to sprinkle some water from the kund or to take a dip in the kund. It is a ladies only zone. The volunteers there will guide us to prepare for taking the dip in the water.

If you opt to enter or dip yourself in the kund, you need to change to the saffron bath robes that will be provided there. They provide a knee length cotton bath robe, almost like a churidar top without any slit. They also provide a black head cap made of net. You need to change completely to shower wearing only the robes, before entering the kund. All your belongings need to be placed on an open stand provided at the shower room cum changing room and toilets adjacent to the kund.

The water down the kund is too cold. The shivalink at the centre of the kund felt like a protector. Experience it once if possible. The volunteers at the entrance give a list of

Towels are not provided there. It's better to carry your own towels and clean clothes to wear after the dip in the Chandra kund.
