The Municipality was built in 1934 as the Tabriz municipal central office. After World War II it was used by the Azerbaijan Democrat Party as a Government Office. When Iranian troops regained control of Tabriz in 1947, the building was again used as the Tabriz municipal central offices, a function which has continued up to the present day.

The Saat tower is located beside a Square with the same name. this tower were built in 1935 under supervision of German engineers. The building has a shape of an eagle if viewed from above. It is office use but there is also a museum inside open to public. you can find old Tabriz style carpets along with other antique. The tower has a huge bell which was cracked by soviet bombarding and it is also inside the museum.

One of most iconic & a historical castle in Tabriz. I didn't have time to visit its museum inside but on its outside it looks like a German castle which I think it has relation with some German architecture or taste.

میدان ساعت کنونی شهرداری سابق تبریز عمارت دارای اصالت از موتور این ساعت در جهان تنها دو عدد وجود دارد یکی در برج ساعت لندن و دیگری در تبریز که هر ۲۴ ساعت یکبار به صورت دستی کوک می‌شود
و سر هر ساعت یکبار صدای زنگ آنرا می‌توان شنید

میدان ساعت بخاطر برج ساعت و کاخ شهرداری که تو ضلع جنوب غربی اون واقع شده، از جاذبه های تبریز محسوب میشه روزها موزه شهرداری فعالیت میکنه که ما بازدید نداشتیم و شبها هم بخاطر نورپردازی این عمارت بسیار دیدنی هست و اطرافش هم کوچه های سنگفرش شده برای پیاده روی وجود داره
