Camping Varmahlíð

Very nice campsite. The owner is so kind and the facilities are clean and warm. 4 bathrooms, where I found it lovely that you had your own private room with sink and mirror so you can get ready in peace without people shoving you to the side to all brush their teeth in the same sink. Toilets are clean and warm as well. Little cosy clean warm kitchen. Perfect place for star cazing and catching the northern lights while being sheltered from the wind by all the trees. One of our favorite campsites of our whole trip in Iceland.

Great campsite with lots of showers (4!). probably one of the cleaner showers! A guy comes around to collect payment and the fee includes showers. Kitchen is pretty good. has some tables and plugs with some stoves. One of the better campsites around.

Very nice campsite in the forest. Has service Kitchen with kettle and induction cook tops (only works with steelpots, not aluminium). Warm showers included, everything very clean. Beautiful walking path through the forest directly by the campsite, and good recommendations for local sightseeing.
Recommended.

couldn't have been a nicer place to stay in a campervan. Heated bathrooms, hot showers heated kitchen and a very friendly staff member... would recommend to anyone needing a great spot to park up for a night or two!

Very nice campground with clean toilets, showers and a kitchen with a boiler.
Only one washing machine is available.

Facility is quiet, tucked back in the woods with some open fields. The facilities were clean and the owners were very friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this place if you are traveling around ring road and looking for a place to stay.

The grill 66 down the road is good for food too, even if it is a gas/fuel station 😁

Beautiful! We arrived at the night , the staff employee is only 2 times a day here, so we don’t meet them. You can pay via honesty box or PayPal, what we did. So happy to was here!

We loved this campsite so much ! Best one we went to along the ring road. So romantic as well with the cute lights. Super clean facilities, warm shower and toilets included in price. 4000 krona (you can pay in cash krona euro or dollars in the honestly box or one of the owners came round to pay with credit card) very friendly owners! :)
We loved the nice forest walking paths behind the campsite and the view from the top. The trampoline was super fun we felt like kids again 😂😂

Good campsite for both Campers/Vans and tents. Bathrooms, Hot showers and a indoor kitchen. Either pay via the honesty box, or with the employees walking around with card readers / cash payment.

Perfect camping in quaint place. It has magical forest in the back with amazing viewpoint. The rest room is available for everyone, even if you don't stay for a night, you can use it freely and do a small donation - which I really want to highlight because it is very difficult to find WC in Iceland. I highly recommend

This is the best camp site we have been to so far in Iceland..
The facilities are so clean, well provided for and the location is out of this world. We havnt met the staff but from the notes they've left they sound wonderful. The kitchen is well equipped, toilets are clean and warm. There is hot water in the showers and kitchen. It's peaceful and quiet. Don't know what else to say but I'd definitely come here again

The owner is kind, when you arrive, they will guide you where the vacancy is. Many trees surrounded.

WC: 2 for male, 2 for female, 4 shower rooms, kitchen and laundry.

Was able to pitch my tent near some trees and hedges which helped shield from the winds. Liked the heated dining area and the friendly staff. Clean facilities amid the lush greenery made my stay pleasant. The final stretch of road to the campsite was kinda steep though but still manageable. Hot showers and free WiFi were included in the price.

You can just choose a spot and set up camp and in the evening a young man will come by and collect the fee. He was very friendly and kind.

I got a spot in the big meadow and really enjoyed the views. So nice and so much privacy unlike most of the campgrounds I stayed at in Iceland.

There are 2 clean toilets and a sink for the ladies. 3 sinks for doing the washing up. The showers are not included.

I would definitely recommend staying here. Very quiet and peaceful.

We loved this campsite. We came on the first day it opened so it wasn't quite in full swing yet. The showers weren't working because of a plumbing issue caused from the winter but that wasnt a big deal because the public pool is close by and a visit there is fun. New kitchen area is really nice. The trees are nice because it provides some privacy. My daughter loved the bouncey gym.

One of the best campsites we found in Iceland. Clean WC and showers with hot water. A nice, cozy kitchen with all necessities, and a great location up the hill. They also provide free WiFi. All that for 1600 ISK per person, it's a bargain.
