Ristorante "Al Viminale"

Great food and nice atmosphere.
Tried one of the unusual (for UK standards) pasta dishes and was very impressed.
The only thing that fell short in my opinion was amount of options on the dessert menu but my fussiness can't justify lowering the 5 stars.

We celebrated Valentine's Day with dinner at this lovely restaurant. The owner warmly welcomed us. We had the Spaghetti Carbonara and Lasagna, both of which were very delicious and generously portioned

The costolette di abbacchio scottadito (grilled lamb chops) was phenomenal. Amazing taste and good quantity. It was just the right amount of tender. Even my sister who usually doesn’t like lamb meat liked it. Had fish and seafood. Both the pasta and sea bass were pretty good but the pasta was too salty. The lasagna was regular.

We sat outside due to the lovely weather. Service was outstanding! Our pasta dishes were excellent! We had better tiramisu elsewhere, however, their tiramisu was still very good. I would definitely return.

The owner served us, a very kind woman. She spoke English, lucky for us, and the food was amazing. I recommend the gnocchi. And definitely get the tiramisu if you go here but honestly you can't go wrong with the other desserts

This was our final stop in Italy and what a wonderful way to close out our trip!

The food was amazing and literally everything was delicious. Teresa was so kind and it was an all around great dining experience.

I just put a 4star for Ambiance because i didn't liked the music but that's a tiny detail :)

A lovely meal at the 'Al Viminale' restaurant yesterday evening. The waiters were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious.

My wife and I shared the Chop Board with Mixed Cheese and Cured Meat, I had the Mixed Seafood Linguine, my wife had the Fettucine ai Funghi Porcini and my daughter had the Ravioli Cheese & Spinach with Butter and Sage.

All the meals were delicious and reasonably priced. We also had 2 Aperol Spritz with our meal, and at the end of the meal, the waiter brought us 2 complimentary Limoncello shots!

Definitely recommend 👌

My only negative was that our table was directly opposite the toilet, which was slightly off-putting, but apart from that, it was fantastic.

Absolutely amazing meal. Would highly recommend to others. I had to clean my plate with the bread it was so nice. Traditional Italian cooking at its finest. We will 100% return

My wife and I had a great dinner after a busy day thanks to 1) kind and friendly staff, 2) quiet atmosphere without crowds, and 3) best of all, delicious simple Italian food! We recommend the caprese, cacio e Pepe, and lasagna (came for other great reviews of their pasta)!

Great traditional Italian restaurant. Delicious food, great wine and lovely atmosphere. We sat inside and it was a bit empty, but outside it looked nicer and more “alive”. The lady who served us was very friendly and had a good English.

Best meal we had on our trip to Rome. The sage butter ravioli was to die for and I’ve been thinking about it for the last 2 days. The tiramisu and panna cotta were delicious and could tell they were freshly homemade. Wonderful service & the owners are lovely people passionate about their restaurant! Highly recommend & very reasonably priced for the high quality of food !!

The best family restaurant on this side of the Tiber. All handmade dishes, absolutely the most wonderful taste! On request, the restaurant will prepare a meal or drink outside the menu. Lovely owner, great waiters, otherworldly cooks. You just have to try it!

This was the best meal of our dozen or so in Rome. By far. We got the carbonara, cacio E pepe, tiramisu and panacotta. So good. Best carbonara I’ve had. Super affordable compared to back home in Seattle. Would go again and highly recommend. My wife has celiac and they had awesome gluten free pasta for her (the Cacio E Pepe) that she loved. And it was delicious by any standard.

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Both Luigi and Maria did an exceptional job in making our experience a memorable one. The food was home made and delicious, especially the limoncello. Highly recommend this restaurant 👌

Amazing little restaurant, hidden away down a side street, the perfect spot you always here travellers whisper about. Food was fresh, delicious, would also recommend the Gnocchi and Carbonara as well as the Tiramisu. Staff were incredible, attentive, friendly, always looking to see if your plates and glasses needed clearing. Restaurant atmosphere was lovely, nice little dining room, and friendly owner. Would recommend to anyone in the area! GRAZIE for our best meal yet!

Family-owned restaurant serving delicious food in a low key classy atmosphere a little off the main streets. Prices were very reasonable and food was excellent. Definitely recommend.

One of the best lunch choices we’ve made in Rome! Delicious comfort food, traditional Italian cooking with all the goodness of a home cooked meal! Food came really fast as well, no long waits!

The service staff was friendly and helped us in English. The other staff were always smiling and happy. We saw many locals at the place and probably most were regulars based on the conversations!

Loved the excellent Pork Chops,
Grilled Chicken and Spaghetti Vongole. Also they were kind enough to give us a special request of Clams! Wonderfully done and the giant size spinach ricotta ravioli was just awesome! ❤❤❤Very reasonable prices, bill for so much food came up go be only €62 We even had a cuppa!

Very clean toilets as well! Great service!
