We booked Max for the 2-day tour of Rome. It was truly a VIP experience! The knowledge that he has of Rome is extraordinary. And the skip the line benefit was awesome. We would have never seen a quarter of what we saw with Max if we had done this with another tour company or on our own. We learned so much about the beautiful city from him. He is passionate about Rome’s history, and you can tell he knows everyone. Thank you, Max, for making our two days in Rome fun and educational. We can’t wait to visit again and see more! Exceptional Tour-Skip The Lines. If you want to feel like a celebrity and to be treated like a VIP then this is the tour company for you! The lines at the Coliseum and Vatican were over three hours long but with Max, our guide, we walked by them all and went straight in. Max has 20 years of experience and navigated us around the city with knowledge only an insider would know. I highly recommend this tour company.

Having researched every company that offered a private Rome tour, I decided to go with Italy Rome Tour based on prior reviews for my family’s quick 3 day trip to Rome. We booked the private 2 day tour with the owner, Max Parini, , as our guide and also booked the optional luxury Mercedes Van as the source of our private transportation. Let me just say this was the absolute best decision for our trip. Max’s knowledge was never ending when it came to the history of this amazing city and he knew the answer to every question my children ( 13 and 16 y.o) asked. Having witnessed so many other tour groups both large and small throughout our 2 days, it was clear we were with the best. Max chose a wonderful pace and itinerary for our 2 day tour and we couldn’t be happier with how much we accomplished and were able to see so many major sites in Rome all while feeling like a VIP throughout the entire tour. My husband and I had 3 short days to spend in Rome, and knew right from the start that we had to make the most of our time. While planning our trip, I happened across Italy Rome Tours, here on TripAdvisor. With over 400 excellent reviews, and nothing less, it was an easy decision to choose this company as our way to see as much as possible, in our limited time in Rome.
We decided on the Rome in a day tour, and made our reservation, very easily, online. The day of the tour arrived, and there was Max himself, right on time, in the Mercedes mini van, waiting to whisk us away through the beautiful, ancient city.
The next eight hours were nothing less than amazing. The Vatican, the Catacombs, the Appian way, lunch in a quaint villa garden,the Colosseum, and so much more! All of this with Max giving us more information than we could have imagined. He has a real passion for his city and it's amazing and varied past.
This was undoubtedly the best tour we could have taken. As all the other reviewers seem to state - "Worth every penny!" We'll use this company any chance we get!! I would highly recommend Italy Rome Tours to anyone who wants to do more than just see Rome.

I have several friends that have used Max and his company over the last 10 years. Everyone of them told me that if you are ever Italy you need to hire him. I can say that Max lived up to the hype and we really enjoyed spending three days with his company. We did the typical sites in Roma and Max also took us to Pompei and Sorrento. We would never been able to see all the places we did without hiring Max and I think we spent about 10 minutes total over three days waiting in line. Typical tourists wait hours just trying to get into the Vatican or the Colosseum. If your time is valuable and you want to truly enjoy Roma and Italy without all the headaches than pay a little extra get the best guide company I have ever had the pleasure of using.

When you are in Rome and want THE BEST experience possible, our group of 6 STRONGLY and HIGHLY recommends Max and his company. He is charming, witty and incredibly knowledgeable about everything in Rome. We hired him for the “Rome Private Tour in Two Days.” They were the best 2 days of our trip! He set the bar to the highest standards. Thanks to Max we have incredible memories of what we saw, great stories to tell others and a deep appreciation for the astounding history in Rome. You are in the best of hands with Max as he is attentive to individual needs, engages everyone and makes the most of your precious time (even helping with recommendations for the time you are not with him). If you think you know what you are looking at, think again, because what Max tells you reveals so much more. Without him, we would have missed important details and not understood the context or depth of the importance of what we were seeing. I don’t think there is a question he can’t answer; it’s clear his passion is Rome and history. His passion is infectious and we are better off for our time with him!

There is a reason he has only top ratings and because we trusted our vacation to Max, it was PERFECTO! We want to return someday and will go right back to Max!

"I cannot even describe how amazing Max and his entire company is! I only wish we had more time with Max! We found Max on tripadvisor and he always responded quickly and had the best advice for us on how to save money when traveling, which hotels and areas were best and what to see to make the most of our trip. Max had everything planned out perfectly for us! My mom and I were so tired the first day that Max thankfully changed around our itinerary so we could rest a little earlier in the day then planned. Max and everyone who worked for him spoke wonderful english and explained everything to us! It was just my mom and I with Max thankfully so we could ask questions, take pictures and not have to walk with huge tour groups. We were really impressed that when we arrived at specific sites we did not have to wait in the three hour long lines and we could just walk in the front with Max. Since it was just my mom and I we were scared to travel through the city at night by ourself at first, Max told us where to go, what restaurants were good and where to be careful at...he also gave us his personal card with his cell phone number in case we had an emergency...now THAT is something you would not get from a random tour company! I cannot say enough good things about Max and his team. On our last night I realized I forgot my camera lens and case in one of the vehicles that drove us from Sorrento, Italy back to Rome. I called Max crying and he had already arranged to pick up my camera from the driver and mail it back to me at home in USA. I was so surprised that someone had actually turned the camera in and also that Max was going to mail it back to me! If you are even thinking a little bit about booking a trip I urge you to go with Max and his company! I know that my mom and I would never have seen as much as we did with Max! I have already sent his information to friends and family that I know are going to be traveling in Rome! He truly is one of a kind, the best of the best, and I promise you, he is worth every since cent you will spend! Thanks again for everything Max, you made our trip so special! I've found this company on google. Max was our guide. We had a fantastic day with him visiting the most important sites in Rome in just few hours. I couldn't believe we did it.
My kids really enjoy him. He's roman and knows every corner of the city.
