Hotel Lo Scoiattolo

Absolutely beautiful hotel, in one of the most attractive, quaint and scenic resorts I've ever seen in the Alps. The food was absolutely first class, and even if it wasn't half board I'd been impressed as it's not buffet style dinner, but all freshly prepared. Wonderful helpful staff with us and our 2 small boys. Really can see the love and care of it being a family hotel.

Excellent hotel. Great atmosphere quiet, calm and pleasant. Dedicated team. Excellent meals. The hotel is hundreds of meters from the ski lifts and provides shuttles every 15 minutes

Hotel is a lovely mix of the modern and traditional - staff incredibly efficient and friendly. Breakfast selection always hearty and dinner a looked forward to feast after a day on the slopes. Spa a real treat also. Rooms cosy and comfortable and there is a heated ski room to store and dry equipment.

Lovely, family-run hotel with bags of character at approximately 1600 m in Gressoney la Trinite, the central of the three towns make comprise the Monterosa area.

Half-board equated to a generous buffet breakfast and dinner with at least three choices for primi and secundi.

Hotel minibus shuttled us every morning to the nearest chair lift

Positives:
Great location
Great staff, attentive but not obsequious
Good variety of food
Comprehensive wine list, replete with local and European wines

Negatives:
The only minor gripe was the ironic and slightly irritating culture of not serving tap water with the evening meal, obliging you to buy bottled mineral water brought in from elsewhere at additional cost whilst sat in a restaurant surrounded by glacial-fed mountain streams.

(comparative lack of nightlife could be considered a drawback by some)

Suggestions:
Consider replacing the wire cages for ski boots in the ski room with wall-mounted boot dryers/storage racks

This is a lovely family run hotel. Spent New Year here with my family. Super clean, friendly staff, varied menu, relaxing spa and ski bus transfer to Punta Jolanda.
Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

La nostra esperienza è stata eccellente. Abbiamo alloggiato in 4, una settimana a fine giugno/inizio luglio, in una delle suite (la nostra nello specifico era a piano terra nella dependance, collegata al corpo centrale da un passaggio sotterraneo). La camera molto confortevole, spaziosa, e dotata di tanti mobili per riporre le proprie cose, è costituita da un grande locale a piano terra con letto matrimoniale, scrivania, divano e il bagno (dotato sia di doccia che di vasca). Nel soppalco ci sono due letti singoli, armadio e poltroncina. Due televisioni. Il ristorante è eccezionale, abbiamo sempre trovato qualcosa di nostro gradimento (viaggiamo con due ragazzini) e il personale di sala è sempre molto attento e la cucina disponibile a fare qualche variazione al menù per accontentare i più piccoli. Ottima la scelta delle pietanze, favolosa la colazione (sia dolce che salata). Ci sono due salottini a disposizione per passare un piacevole momento di lettura o di giochi (da tavolo, carte etc..). Abbiamo provato il centro benessere, carino e piccolo (probabilmente in alta stagione affollato), ma molto piacevole. L'hotel è curatissimo e tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli. C'è la possibilità di avere il riassetto della camera durante la cena, e le signore lasciano alcune caramelle e le previsioni del tempo per il giorno dopo.
Anche noi abbiamo notato, come un altro cliente, la rumorosità dello sciacquone delle camere adiacenti, ma sia noi che i nostri figli non abbiamo perso mezzo minuto di sonno, eravamo sempre stanchi dalle passeggiate.
Unico consiglio sulla camera: dotare i bagni di qualche appendino in più e di un asciugacapelli più potente.
Esperienza unica e da ripetere, che rende la vacanza indimenticabile ♥

Abbiamo soggiornato alla fine di giugno --primi di luglio per 7 notti . Che dire ? Tutto perfetto , posizione della camera con vista mozzafiato , il monte rosa nel suo splendore , ristorante con 5 portate , colazione a buffet di qualità e abbondante , gentilezza del personale , piccola ma accogliente Spa . Ci torneremmo volentieri!

Vooreerst is het een prachtig gelegen hotel, heel diep gelegen in de Val de Lys, er is een fantastisch uitzicht op de Lyskam. Het is er rustig, enkel het geluid van de verder gelegen cascata.
Het hotel is heel netjes, het personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Het eten is er ronduit super, echt Italiaans, iedere avond keuze uit 4 gerechten. 's Morgens een heel uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Camere spaziose e pulite, personale simpatico e disponibile. Il buffet molto assortito dal dolce al salato, alla sera scelta di tre primi e secondi. Ottima posizione con vista il monte Rosa. Sicuramente ritornerò e lo consiglio.

Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni in completo relax. L'a camera molto pulita, il personale gentile e disponibile. Il cibo veramente ottimo e di qualità,. Consigliatissimo
