We tried the vegetarian pasta verde with parmesan and the veg balls in carrot sauce. One of the best Italian we have had! Great service. It's pricey but worth the quality

This was probably the best meal I had in Ravenna, and we had several lovely meals. The food was exquisite—classic dishes with creative twists that were just delicious. Great drinks. I have no idea why this place doesn’t have 5 out of 5, but it is definitely the best food that we had in Ravenna (and better than some other fancy places around Italy)

We absolutely LOVED having lunch here. Easily the nicest meal we had in our two weeks in Italy. Food was incredible and amazing value, the service was lovely, and they were so welcoming to our baby. Can't recommend this place enough and will definitely come back.

My husband and I have the best food ever! The daily menu was AMAZING! DELICIOUS! We tried local food, very unique Italian food from Ravenna Area! The service: A BLAST! We eat: antipasto -each of us-, main dish -each of us-, desert -each of us- and a bottle of Wine, we only paid 90€! I really recommend!

We’ve gone there at least once a year for three years when in town. Each experience has been very special. The owner is always attentive and friendly, the location is perfect, the decor refined and charming…but most of all the food is worth the trip.

Gorgeous little place that has such good quality ingredients. Service is great, friendly and enthusiastic. We had a salad, pasta with pine nuts and asparagus, beef with sausage and a cheesecake with cherry dessert. The wine menu is extensive and the beers were delicious. Little gem of Ravenna!

We had an excellent meal here today. The igredients are all locally sourced and there is clearly care put in to the cooking. Very tasty. My wifd loved her guinea fowl ragu. For me the balsamic vinegar over ice cream was an amazing discovery. Excellent restaurant.

Incredible place. The service is fantastic and the food is awesome. We tried a couple of dishes of the daily recommended menú. This has been one of the best meals we've had so far in Italy. The atmosphere is also fantastic to have a nice dinner.

This place deserves at least 1 Michelin star.

Quaint, slightly upscale restaurant serving local pastas and other dishes. If I could, I would give it a 6 out of 5. This was hands down the best meal I’ve had in Italy!

Excellent restaurant in an original and attractive setting. This restaurant offers a good selection of well prepared and presented Italian dishes. The wine list is original.

What does a small menue mean in a beautiful restaurant? It is a sign that food is highly respected in this place, that they care about their products, that they know exactly what they are doing and place quality over quantity - like in Al Cairoli in Ravenna. With their well selected choice of local dishes from local products the chef creates culinary marvels. And their benchmarks are high. When the manager took our wine order, opened the bottle, tasted the wine prior to let us taste it and then placed the cork next to our first wine glasses, we understood that they achieve high standards in all categories.
A restaurant will become especially precious to its guests should they manage to create a first-time experience especial in the gastronomic, culinary aspect. The food we had was excellent and the desert of pistacchio tiramisu was breath-taking, a first-time we will hardly ever forget. Grazie tanto a tutto il Team di Al Cairoli!!

We stumbled upon this place and the pasta and salad for lunch were very good. House wine was great. Staff was very nice and service was pronto. Located in the city center.

Lovely respite on a very warm day. The zucchini flan was to die for! The staff were very attentive, the restaurant and facilities were very clean and the tables were set beautifully. Lots of fun people watching from the table at the front window too!

We had a wonderful meal here during our stay in Ravenna. A traditional dish of the area meat & cheese tortellini in broth. It was absolutely delightful and perfect on a cold and rainy day. It in a great location on one of Ravenna’s pedestrian streets. The service was also very friendly

A wonderfully refined dining establishment where everything has been thought out and focused on providing a great dining experience. This wonderful restaurant just steps from the piazza del poppolo is a quiet refined space perfect for a great meal. The interior is housed in an old hat shop where those cabinets now display the wines and provide a very nice backdrop. There is soft piano music playing and the tables are large enough to provide plenty of room for your dishes nor are they packed in.
The service is friendly, crisp and professional. The wine list has something for everyone. The bread basket is home made and it shows. We were each given a complementary vegetarian meatball which was very good,We ordered the tortellini with a an aged Parmesan sauce. This is an excellent version of this dish. The tortellini were obviously hand made, cooked perfectly al dente and the flavor worked beautifully with the Parmesan. The veal was perfectly cooked, crispy with the right amount of ham and a nice sauce that fished off the dish. The potatoes were also perfectly cooked and flavored with some rosemary. We tried the tiramisu for dessert. A tiramisu that has been tweaked with a bit more mascarpone and amazing chocolate shavings. Proving a perfect dish can be improved
Overall just an excellent experience at a place that hits all the right notes.

Delicious pasta & lasagna

Delicious food. I can recommend all the dishes we tried: tagliatelle al ragu, tortellini with parmesan sauce filling and the vegetable balls with a unique kind of sauce aside.
