Ruffino Poggio Casciano

Went for the Creative Bravura tour and it was great. We were only two and it felt like they had the entire place running for a hundred people. Yes it's more commercial than other winery tours you can have in the region, but as a tourist it's a great value if you don't know better.

Romantic and wonderful hotel and Restaurant in the heart of Tuscany/ 30 Minutes by car from Tuscany.

We’ve been there for a wine tasting / 5 wines + dishes and it was wonderful.
At the evening we’ve stayed on the dinner in the yard wirth piano and after it, we’ve moved to the terrace. It was magical!

Atmosphere was wonderful, food was just wow and the wine was mmmm 😋 lecker!
I would definitely recommend Ruffino Poggio Casciano! It it worth to visit!

What an amazing experience. The wine was beyond amazing. The location and vistas, simply gorgeous. The sommelier Eleanora, was beautiful, very smart, knowledgeable and super sweet. Her assistant Sara was extremely gracious and made our experience at this wine tasting very memorable. Would definitely go back!! A must visit while in Florence.

What an amazing experience! I can’t say enough great things about my stay here and I can’t wait to go back. Our guide for the day Vincenzo was so knowledgable and made our day so much fun, the tasting afterwords was such an elevated experience than what I was used to and the estate level wines were a nice touch. Later in the tasting room Lorenzo made our experience fun and catered to our every need. The room was clean, and an added touch of a cold bottle of rose put it over the top. The view from the pool is enough to stay here alone and being that the hotel is so small it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We chose to get the 5 course dinner and we were not disappointed, the presentation, stemware wine and service were 5/5 and I’d recommend anyone going for a special occasion to take them up on that offer. I’m forgetting our servers name however he was great as well and made sure to tell plenty of jokes and made our night very special. Thank you again to Vincenzo, Lorenzo and the whole Ruffino crew!

Nice location and so close to Florence. Very friendly staff and great wine tasting experience. Enjoyed the 5 course dinner with 5 different wines with overnight stay for 300 Euros for a couple’s romantic getaway was the best deal ever. Not to mention the breakfast the following morning was the best part. We will come here again!

An AWESOME experience in Ruffino. We went with the Traditional Versus Innovation Tour. Alessandro was our guide, knowledgeable and charming.

The entire experience was amazing and insightful with lots of opportunity to ask questions. The pace was great, we were not rush into anything. After the tour and tasting, we were left to enjoy the food and wine with a lovely setup. Highly recommended to visit and pamper yourself. ^__^

We visited for a tour and wine tasting and were not disappointed. We had an excellent experience and it started with the winery assisting us with arrangements for a driver to get to the winery from Florence. Nestled in the Tuscan countryside, you can see Florence in the distance. The winery is surrounded by picturesque vineyards and roads.

Upon arrival, we were treated to a caffe and awaited the start of our tour. The grounds are beautiful with many seating areas, small spots to gather, statuary, and even a bocce ball court. The store on site is relatively small, but a wide selection of small Italian snack items and all of the Ruffino products.

Our tour included the production area, the storage area under the main building, including an original part of the building that had an indoor well, and a view of the "reference vault" where they kept bottles from more recent vintages.

The tasting was sublime with three separate mid-to-high end wines, their newer Venus product, a tasting of olive oil, and an accompaniment of meats and cheeses. The tasting was finished off with a taste of their grappa made from their Brunello grapes.

It has been just over two months since we came back from Italy, visiting Tuscany and taking the tour in Ruffino Winery at Poggio.
We are still reminiscing and savouring the moments we spent at the winery.
The winery itself is beautiful! The scenery is romantic and breathtaking.
Our guide Vittorio did an excellent job. He was very professional and had answers to all our questions, going into interesting details and spicing the information with a personal touch.
We had the opportunity to taste wines we would not have come across usually.
We enjoyed the tour very much and are glad to recommend it to anyone.

Excellent and detailed tour! Tasted awesome wines: as one would expect from a Ruffino winery. First rate. Very knowledgeable and a good shop too - Alauda 2017 was the highlight.

Well worth the trip over for a tour and tasting. Their Super Tuscany Alauda is an absolute delight. Landscape is fabulous, and really enjoyed their cellars, with quite a bit of original building still being used today.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place as it was nearby our air bnb. We had no idea we were visiting one of the best wineries in Italy! We had no reservation, but Lorenzo was so accommodating and set up a tasting for us in the shop. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and hospitable: even walked me to the car under an umbrella when it started to rain unexpectedly as we were leaving! Of course the wine is amazing as well. Highly recommend!

A fine dining experience in the heart of Italy. The decor is very subtle. Their outdoor sitting is romantic but the restaurant itself is not so romantic. It's a very small area and there is not much space between the tables.
Overall all a good experienced which should be experienced by all at least once.

I can't say enough about how kind and service oriented the staff is at Ruffino. We did not have a reservation and they did everything in their power to accommodate us and make us feel welcome despite being crazy busy and two of their staff being out for illness. We were just looking for a glass of wine and relaxation; didn't need a tour. They provided us a private table in the courtyard, brought us water and snacks, and two glasses of their Chianti Classico Gran Selezione. The wine was great!

The property grounds are so beautiful and peaceful.The drive to the winery is absolutely picturesque (but watch the road!!). Truly hope we can visit again some day soon. Thank you for your kind service.

We payed the Ruffino Winery a visited during our stay in Tuscany. Although we hadn't made a reservation, the staff was still willing to tell us a bit about their wines. The wines in the shop are really nice and affordable.

We have a great aperitivo. Both proseccos we had, had a pretty impressive taste (even the rose). Food was very good. Amazing experience and view.

We had a fantastic vineyard tour and a great wine tasting here at Ruffino. I can highly recommend this place
