Ristorante La Pieve Vecchia

Exceptionally good restaurant located on the outskirts in Monterchi.
Staff were really friendly and service was great considering how busy they were.
The food was exceptionally good and i can’t wait to return , very reasonably priced too.
unfortunately i didn’t take a photo of my steak but it was one of the best i have ever had.

A place to unwind, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan landscapes. The owner is a kind, generous host who goes the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful stay and the whole staff is extremely welcoming and professional. If you're looking for an authentic, rustic holiday in the Italian countryside, you're in luck at la Pieve Vecchia. The food is incredible, the pasta is homemade (from scratch!) as well as most of the sweets on the menu. There is something special about this place but I really can't tell if it's the atmosphere, the surrounding fields and hills, its sunsets or the people: la Pieve Vecchia has a soul and it's a beautiful one. What an amazing place! Our group enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch in the beautiful gardens. The food was absolutely world class and the service we received from Igor was stellar! We will be back many times! What great dishes! Thank you!

Pici with duck white ragù was amazing! This was my second time here. They always have wonderful pasta dishes and warm service!

I love to go to "La Pieve Vecchia" every time I come back to Monterchi. The food is great and the staff is amazing. Very good value for money.

Great restaurant along the road.
We didn’t plan to stop there , but already from the outside looked very nice.
Then the food was really a positive surprise.
Really worth the stop if you are passing nearby.

Probably my favourite restaurant in the area. The outdoor seating in the garden is magical particularly at sunset and food delicious. It's very popular with locals and always full in Summer. We, came back twice. 5 stars.

Very nice place, seems popular with the locals, which says something. Our food was perfect, with no complaints. Not too expensive either so recommended.

We were staying in Monterchi for a week and dined here twice and had a takeaway pizza one night! Our first experience was a birthday lunch and we were looked after by Tomasso, the risotto and pasta dishes, so good and then the bistecca, wow! Bellissimo. Our last supper was with Alessandro again the food was exceptional, the wine list excellent and service First class. As good as it gets! P.S. Their pizzas are pretty special too!

We booked the restaurant as caterer for our wedding. A real stroke of luck for us. All the staff at La Pieve Vecchia were extremely friendly and helpful. When we had to move the wedding to the restaurant at short notice due to bad weather, it was no problem at all. The staff took a lot of time and decorated the wedding hall with a lot of joy and creativity at short notice, so that we felt extremely comfortable there at our wedding, despite originally having other plans.

The service on the wedding day itself was also extraordinary. The excellent food almost became a secondary matter. Especially the truffle dishes are an absolute highlight.

We always had the feeling that the people from La Pieve Vecchia were not primarily interested in making money with us, but that they wanted us and our guests to have the best possible wedding day. For this, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the owners Carolina and Andrea - who actively supported us from start to finish in the planning and realisation.

Lovely restaurant with varied good menu. Can get very busy so make sure to book. Given the quality of food and wine, plus grappa and coffees, the bill came to less than £60 per person. I will visit again.

Very friendly staff accommodating us at short notice and helpful as we have no ability to speak Italian at all! Lovely food too... We will try to return again this week.

Very nice restaurant in characterful setting. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Meal for 2 people was 90 euros for 2 courses plus desert each, beer and a bottle of wine. Guinea fowl pasta (primi) and rabbit (secondi) were very good, would definitely return next time we're in the area.

This is an excellent restaurant. Our friends who are local to the area took us there and they ordered the food and wine and we simply loved it. The staff are friendly and chatty. Food is fantastic. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great food and excellent service. Always a friendly welcome and a terrific atmosphere. All outdoor areas are lovely to enjoy a summer meal. In winter, indoor restaurant is cosy and impressive.

Delicious food in a fabulous setting. We arrived before sunset and watched the sun go down behind Monterchi across the sunflower fields. The food was exceptional as we had come to expect but not expensive. Make a reservation even mid-week, to be safe - we got lucky on a Wednesday evening! Beware the large portions.

I am still dreaming about the food at La Pieve Vecchia! We had a large party of 10 and the service was splendid! Our waiter was patient with our poor Italian... his English was much better than we'd hoped. If I can only recreate the zucchini topped bruschetta and creamy zucchini pasta I'll be in heaven again. The fried squash flowers were also superb! If you are near the area I recommend you go. They also have wood fired pizza.
