Gianni House

Gianni House feels like a home away from home - it’s only around a 10 minute walk to the sea! I didn’t have plans for my trip but they offer tours for Mt. Etna, jetskiing and scuba-diving which were so much fun. I only stayed for four nights but would’ve loved to stay longer - special mention to the staff, super friendly people!!

Gianni and his wife are so nice and welcoming. We stayed 2 nights. Gianni knows so much about the area and how to get around and what to see. This was so helpful since this was our first visit to Sicily. The bus stops almost in front of his building. The bakery is the building in front of his. This bakery is just fantastic by the way. Everything was very clean and beds were comfortable. Teormina was close by. His roof top view is a spectacular view of Etna. The beach is close too. I would highly recommend staying here.

Gianni house is amazing! Beautiful spot, staff are so kind and helpful and the dorms and quiet so it’s easy to get a good nights sleep. Super easy to get around to the local beaches and to Taormina, plus a great kitchen to cook and socialise. Would stay again!

Great place and the people who work there! We really liked the hostel, cozy room, kitchen for cooking, close to the sea! The staff will always help in any matter. From the balcony we can see the volcano Etna!

Gianni House is a hostel with a friendly atmosphere in close proximity to the sea (free and paid beaches), cafes, pizzerias, supermarkets, restaurants, port, bus stops. You may order breakfasts and excursions, as well as beach towels and umbrellas. It is located in the heart of Giardini-Naxos and you may easy get to Taormina. You may get to the hostel by comfortable bus directly from Airport. The bust stop is in few meters from the hostel.
The staff is very nice and may assist you with your needs, advice places and provide with information about the interesting places in Sicily. I think a smile is a business card of all employees of Gianni House. The hostel’s owner Gianni is sociable, friendly and interesting person. You may discuss various topics with him over a casual conversation. You also may meet different interesting people – guests of Gianni House as Gianni House is a meeting point of Sicily.
You can count on hot water in private bathroom at any time, well-equipped common kitchen, every day cleaning services. Also there is a nice terrace with tables on the hostel’s roof opened 24/7 with beautiful view of the sea, mountains, Giardini-Naxos and Taormina.

Highly recommend this lovely place! Gianni is the owner of the hostel that you will love! I have never met such warm, fun, professional, efficient, and helpful hostel owner like him. As soon as we arrived to the hostel, he gave us a map and provided us with all the super useful info (bus schedule, the best gelato spot, different beaches and more and more). Nice beaches near by and he lends out beach goods such as the big umbrella, mat, goggles. Nice rooms with terraces, rooftop area, free pasta gathering night, easy access to Taormina. Nothing to complain and would love to go back soon!

Would definitely recommend to other young solo travellers and couples :) We had a great stay in our double room with sea view and met fun people. There are nice beaches 10 mins by foot away as well as restaurants and even bars and an open air night club. Thanks so much to the kind team and also for organising the snorkelling tour. By the way, September is a great time to visit, it’s not too hot and there aren’t that many tourists around anymore.

I stayed here for 9 days, first time in a hostel. I honestly have nothing to complain about, it was smooth and super fun all the way. The girls at reception are the soul of this place; super helpful and fun. Met people from all over and had a blast. Not only would I go back there, I'd live there! OTTIMISSIMO!

Location: I spent both mornings at the beach, five minute walk away. Then spent the afternoon in Taormina (15 min bus ride away). The bus stop is just a building away. Very convenient and cheap for a college couple traveling on spring break!

Rooms: very clean. cheery. Loved our balcony! The hot water is a little tricky - remember to ask, or you'll be showering with cold water.

Staff: The staff made me love Italy! They speak English, can recommend places to eat or see, and are very friendly. If you need to arrive early/leave late, they are also very accommodating. *Interesting fact: Gianni made a "green" decision to walk and bike places instead of driving. He's a very interesting guy, and will definitely make your stay even more memorable if you get to know him!

Pasta parties: Delicious free food. Met wonderful people.

But if you prefer to be an anonymous tourist, the private rooms (+ bathrooms) are also very nice, affordable and comfortable.

I had a wonderful time here. The atmosphere is so romantic, and the hostel was a good 'home base' for seeing this part of Sicily. I would recommend it to anyone!

Best hostel I've stayed in hands down. The atmosphere is ridiculously friendly and you'll most likely find yourself relaxing on the rooftop with new friends on night one watching the sunset with a view of Etna. The staff were all amazing: special shout out to Clea, Jade, Jules, and Julia, who were all not only professional but so friendly and welcoming ensuring you see the things you want to with the time you have. They gave great advice for getting to Taormina centre etc or making sure you catch the sunrise from the ocean 🙌
The location is great too, so easy to get to Taormina centre, buses run every 15 mins well into the night too. But Giardini Naxos is a great place to explore too. Getting to Alcantara gorge is just one easy bus ride away costing a couple euro which was a nice surprise. Absolutely recommend this place 👌

Gianni creates a welcoming atmosphere and offers suggestions on places to eat and drink. You are a walk of about thirty from Naxos and a short bus ride to Taormina. The bus is cheap. There are excursions you can join. Free parking behind the hostel is safe. Breakfast is free and included and you can hire towels for three euro. The rooms have good charging sockets and are comfy. They even have ensuite bathrooms and showers. There is a terrace for relaxing on the roof and balconies on each room.

This is a lovely place to stay. Gianni created a wonderful place to meet wonderful people in an amazing environment. Thank you so much for being such a great host!! It was a pleasure to be your guest. I really felt like home :)

Awesome hostel; friendly reception staff with Gianni being incredibly helpful - you can hear his passion for Sicily! Location in front of the bus stop that gets you to Taormina/Catania; bakery and fruit shop very close by; beach only 10mins away. Super comfortable beds in clean dorms. Even has a decent sized roof terrace where you can see both the ocean and Mt Etna billowing smoke. Best part? Free brekky!! Finally! After traveling around the rest of Italy, this is the first time I’ve had something substantial for breakfast. Thanks for a fantastic stay guys!!

Best Hostel in Sicily!! If You want yo meet other travellers and msje friends this is the place but also is a quiet place! You can hace fun and peace like I did! Rooms are super clean and the breakfast is delicious!!! I recomend you this place! Made My euro trío amazing! 😍

There is no better place to feel like at home!!! Very clean, with spacious common area, big fully equipped kitchen, huge terrace on the top with awesome view over Taormina, Etna Volcano and the sea... Free buffet breakfast is a great bonus to start a day. Located in very cosy town called Giardini Naxos where you will find few beach spots, nice town centre with restaurants and bars. Bus stop just from outside the hostel will take you to Taormina and Cataniacity and the airport. From bus station that is just around the corner you will get to Alcantara and other places!!! Very friendly and helpful staff, always happy to answer all your questions, advice you how to arrange your time, give you great recommendations for tours to many places near by. Various rooms from dorms to private, all with en-suite bathrooms!! - you can choose what you like :)) Enjoy, like I did !!! :)))

Very good hostel, staff friendly the room are clean and the position is good for the giardini naxsos. In front of the hostel there is the bus stop for go to Taormina or catania.

This is one of the coolest hostels we have stayed in so far. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, free light breakfast and A/C! Convienent location to the bus for excursions, bakery,butcher and fruit and veg market. This is a fantastic hostel!

Wonderful staff and nice position. Beautiful terrace with Etna views. Very good hostel for an holiday, near to the beach and always with good atmosphere.

I volunteered working here for a month and had the time of my life! Such a good vibe. Great location close to the beach and Toarmina. Highly recommend Gianna House!
