Grand Hotel Miramare

Had a wonderful stay, the hotel is old in places however the views are sensational, we could watch the sunrise from our room in the morning. The steps up and down to the pool aren't for anyone with walking difficulties but perfect for anyone looking to burn off all the pasta and gelato! I would definitely stay again. Staff were lovely and very helpful, we had a late flight home and they let us use the shower room at no extra charge. Perfect location for access to the town (which is fab) and the cable car to the beach is next door. Car park is a bit tight, we had a mid size lexus and were fine, if you live in the UK you'll be used to little carparks like this.

My wife and I had spectacular time there. Upon or arrival, we were welcomed with wonderful Italian hospitality. The view was fantastic with the most beautiful sunrise. The pool and the gardens were wonderful! The location was close to Lido Beach which was so cool with a cable car ride down to it. Great restaurant and delicious food.. Wonderful service by the nicest staff… local shopping on the ancient streets right out the front door. so much to do like seeing the ancient theater for the next visit. So romantic you have to go…

I stayed for 8 nights at this amazing hotel in Taormina.
Super clean premises , friendly and amazing staff, all the waiters and frond desk officers are very helpful, even the chef is very, he used to take care of my food whenever i order it during lunch time at the pool.
Breakfast buffet was delicious, but the hotel could add some other items to diversify the options that you have for breakfast.
During night i had dinner / drinks at the terrace, weather was good and we had some 2 musicians playing on the piano and singing.

Overall, i would give a 5/5 for this hotel. I simply loved it

We loved this place! The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable, and the food, service and amenities more than make up for that. The pool is gorgeous (although nearly 200 steps down from the hotel!) and the restaurant/terrace at night has great views of the entire coast. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful hotel on cliff overlooking Taormina and the sea. Close to town center with walking. Breakfast was delicious each day. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely amazing. Hotel is not fully updated or in best condition but the location and views dismiss and imperfections. Services and staff are very friendly. Close to the main street with restaurants, bars, shops and even a few "clubs"

Wonderful Place to stay,very happy with the room(we got one with a courtyard view(2nd Floor) - restricted views of bay below,but a very nice place to sit and have drink late on).We were able to unpack our 1 suitcase into the wardrobe(1 week stay).Lovely big bathroom with bath & shower combo,and the usual Italian/Sicilian features,always a plus point in this area of the world.Plug points for recharging your phones(if you use them as a alarm clock)overnight are not conveniently located near to the bedside tables,mine has a 100cm length and it just reached either the reading desk or second shelf of the bedside table(but I wouldn’t say this is safe,if getting up in the dark to use the toilet)and the other side of room it was the other side of the wardrobe.So either invest in a longer cable(or extension) or just do what we did,leave on the floor, tucked out of the way(thought this was worth a mention ?) Didn’t use all the facilities available,so can only comment on the breakfast and the room(3rd Floor) it’s served in, about 10 steps up from our level next to the lift,WHAT A VIEW.The hills,the bay below breathtaking,just can’t see the”Isola Bella”,you might be able to in another part of the hotel.The breakfast is of continental type,you shouldn’t go hungry.
Very handy for the "Taormina Bus Terminal"where all the local,tourist & hop on/off buses leave from,and the Taormina Cable Car(3 euros each way is only 450mts away,7 mins walk)which would take you down to very near ”Isola Bella”.Would love to come back to Taormina and would not look for anywhere else to stay but here.

We visited years ago, and had a wonderful relaxing time. You can easily walk into town. The view is spectacular, but these pictures hardly do it justice.
