This was another of those wonderful surprises that Italy specialises in. We were in the area and asked for a recommended local restaurant for lunch and were told to go to the Ristoro in Campagna. Well, it was perfect. The setting is stunning - a wooden floored outdoor veranda with Umbria rolling its green countryside across the horizon. Simple paper place mats with a menu of local Umbrian dishes all prepared with locally produced ingredients creating a choice of high quality authentic Umbrian food. The service is very friendly, relaxed and adds to the bucolic atmosphere, with peacocks, cockerels, hens and turkeys roaming free around the area. A wonderful way to pass a couple of hours, eating extremely well, with a jug of local ref wine and all at an extremely reasonable price. I will certainly return and take friends along too. Best to book at weekends. Recommended!!

Best local food! Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Changing, small and excellent menue. We, two people, had antipasti, main course, dessert, coffee, water and 1/2 l white house wine and paid only 60 Euros. You'd never ever find an Italian restaurant in Berlin at that high and fresh quality and richness at this price. The location is beautiful and traditional, with plenty of tables outside. Make a reservation for the evenings. Although it is in the middle of the country side, it is always packed with locals and visitors from the nearby agriturismos and even from Umbertide. Best place we've been to in the region by far!

This restaurant is simply incredible. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and catered to a gluten free and cow milk free diet with no problems. The food was just amazing, probably the best we had during our two week stay in Umbria. Fantastic local produce, authentic dishes, generous portions and fair prices. The location is beautiful, and the terrace is so nice. We are sad we only discovered it on our last day, otherwise we would have come back for sure!

A hidden gem for a delicious Umbrian meal. We’d driven by for years until friends told us about it. The menu changes each day and we wanted to order everything. Dolce was fantastic too.

Whole setting simple but delightful

Delicious food in an amazing setting. The staff where very friendly and accommodating even though there was a language barrier. The view is stunning and every dish we had was fantastic!

Exceptional...do not miss. So we wandered in at 8pm having got used to being sole diners in our week at the end of October in Umbria. Miriam? and Antonio greeted us and assured as that they could find a table for us (the place was completely empty...) but by 8.45 it was heaving. And deservedly so.
The family had just completed their first ever olive harvest and the delight with which they shared their 30-minute old olive oil said it all. This was followed by cheese produced from their animals with home baked bread, delicious pates and outstanding salumi, an impossibly large bowl of hand-rolled pici for me and a wild mushroom crepe for the vegetarian, an incredibly fine tagliata for me and a mix of vegetable dishes for her, and an exceptional creme brulee to share to finish washed down with some great, fruity house red.
This is Umbrian home cooking at its best - gregarious, generous and fun - in a beautiful setting. Do not miss - at 30 euro a head this was also exceptional value.

A rare gem of a restaurant. Unbeatable food, service, location and price. Close enough to the motorway for access but far enough to feel the serenity of the countryside.
