Great vibe in the backyard, excellent English speaking service. The pasta with tomato sauce and bacon was good, the pasta ragu had very little meat. The starter carpaccio and bruschetta was delicious, especially as it comes with lots of cherry tomatoes and greens. The panna cotta was amazing as well, just has a little too much of the sauce topping.

We dined at Locanda Di Nonna Gelsa as part of our daughters weekend wedding event. We would like to say thank you to Chiara and her team for their hospitality, wonderful food and beautifully orchestrated organisation of our group of 22. We had an incredible evening. You kept the food and wine flowing and the introduction to Umbrian food 'which was all so incredible' for those that were first time visitors was amazing. You defiantly gave everyone a night to remember.

Family restaurant with the menu written on boards. I love it when they tell you not to order too much, as the portions are plenty big.
The three of us shared the antipasti, had great pastas each and shared the amazing Florentine steak, which was grilled to perfection. One dessert, a coffee, a bottle of wine and 3 bottles of water and we happily paid not even €150 total.

Kiara and Julia are amazing hosts at this lovely local restaurant. The pasta is some of the best we’ve ever had. We also enjoyed one of the best T bone steaks which was brought out in an amazing presentation sizzling on a hot slab. We will eat here anytime we’re in the area. Must attend.

I enjoyed this meal so much. The restaurant sits in a small village just outside of Umbertide. The service is excellent and English is spoken if your Italian is lacking. The menu had a small number of items, all seasonal and amazing. The mixed antipasti is very good and we also had grilled porcini mushrooms cooked and seasoned perfectly allowing the flavour of the produce to speak for itself. We had a rabbit dish that was also great and a selection of desserts that finished the meal nicely. There is parking on site and a great collection of wine to select for your meal. This is the type of fresh seasonal cooking that is a joy to the senses in a surrounding that is welcoming. I would give it more stars if I could

We arrived at our beautiful hilltop air bnb Casa Luna after a nine hour drive from Matera. National holiday, so we didn’t have any food in. Our hosts Coen and Laura made us a reservation at Nonna’s.
Looked closed, but niece and I went around to the back and discovered this wonderful outdoor garden location. .
We had the best meal, wonderful service with our special little ginger gati. We ordered and happily shared between the four of us, several l pasta dishes, amazing Fiorentine steak, salad, house wine and dessert. Highly recommend

Wonderful meal. The food was superb. The restaurant were so helpful, serving a party of 26 people. I would highly recommend visiting if you are in Umbertide, we will certainly be coming back!

Worth the detour from anywhere in Umbria. The best food we had in Italy. Tastes like country food. Veggies are delicious and plentiful. Meat is tender and delicious. House wine is 👌👍😃
