Casa Campagna

A group of 8 of us stayed here early June and it was a magical experience for all of us!! To start off with, we arrived really late at night but Mauro (the dad of the host) waited for us at a nearby Bar (Bar Bucci if I recall correctly!) to bring us safely to the villa. He was such a lovely and funny man who made us all feel welcome, and asked us what we liked to eat, to which we said lots of meat!! and mushrooms!! and the man truly delivered. Next morning he came to gift us an entire box of fresh mushroom which tasted amazing. We also arranged for a cooking class with Juliana, and we asked if they could teach us how to make ravioli, and she was so sweet to say they would include that for us without extra charge. Her parents (Mauro and Ray) hosted the cooking class with plenty of ingredients, and even brought a ravioli chef who makes the best ravioli in the area!! The whole cooking class was a 12/10 experience, truly had so much fun cooking and drinking with all the wine they brought. Mauro even went to get us LOADS of meat which he barbecued on the spot for us. We had a lunch full of laughter because they were the most entertaining hosts ever. I cannot stress how amazing this whole stay was, and it really made this whole countryside experience so memorable for us. I would love to come back one day<3 Thank you Juliana, and your parents, once again for such a welcoming stay that we can hold so dear in our hearts <3

A very authentic Tuscan home stay! Mauro [our host] was born and raised on the picturesque mountain where Villa Umbria-Casa Campagna is situated. We were fed the finest local produce, much of which was grown and foraged from the property. Mauro’s competent English enabled us to dine locally and interpret our surroundings. The house itself offered a cosy fireplace and a refreshing plunge pool for those warmer Tuscan afternoons. The pictures speak for themselves!! Looking forward to our next stay at Villa Umbria-Casa Campagna :)
