Taormina Hotel Villa Ducale

Hotel Villa Ducale is just beautiful in so many ways. My husband and I had an amazing experience here from how clean the rooms are to how well and properly air conditioned the entire room was at all times. The entire staff is so personal to us and understanding especially when I arrived to the hotel without any suitcases because they got lost by the airlines. Between Daniel, Giuliano, Andrea and Giuliana they made our stay so memorable and special. The food is incredible their chef is well skilled I felt like I was eating a Michelin meal every time. Everything is close by and I loved the exclusiveness of the best beach clubs available to us because of our stay at the hotel. They have a private shuttle just for the guests that gets you to and from the best parts all included with your stay. We look forward to returning to Taormina and staying here with the rest of our family in the future.

Our stay at Villa Ducale was absolutely perfect. The hotel is hidden on the side of a mountain community. When you walk through the beautiful, but unassuming entrance, you start to be introduced to what a beautiful view and experience awaits. Once in the reception area, the staff greets you very warmly and by name as if you were friends. The quaint, sophisticated lobby has treats available, but the staff will offer a delicious glass of Prosecco which you can enjoy on the terrace/restaurant with the most magnificent view of Mt. Etna, Taormina and the sea. Our room had a large terrace with a view; was quiet, clean and had a beautiful blue hue on the walls. Everyone in the Villa Ducale team was the best. Daniel and Santina (picture attached) were especially attentive and helpful. The breakfast amazing! We will forever remember our stay in this little gem! The Lydens

We only ate at the restaurant here but had a lovely experience. Location is brilliant. Staff were attentive. The sicilian zibbibo wine was lovely and the food was amazing. They split the plates for us as we were sharing too. Thanks

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ducale. The hotel has an envious position, high above the hill with views of Mount Etna and the bay. Staff in particular are welcoming and helpful. Food is good and we found having a complintary shuttle to and from Taormina most helpful! Thanks again to the staff including Max, who made our stay so relaxing !

Fantastic food with fantastic view. Max the waiter was plaisant, generous, and very attentive. The entries and main dish were fresh, generous and delicious. All of this with a nice table with an amazing view. Rzeally worth it. Thank to the all staff.

Amazing views, very nicely designed hotel and wonderful staff. The layout was planned so that all of the rooms have a sea (and mount etna) view, which is a rarity in Taormina. I want to thank Daniel in particular for making our stay an absolute pleasure.

Our hotel experience was amazing. The hotel and the view are perfect but the staff is really what makes this place shine. They are so welcoming and helpful and truly made our stay. My sister and I want to go back just to see them again! We also met the owner and he was the sweetest. You can tell he really cares about his hotels and guests. Breakfast is delicious and dinner is superb. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

5 stars is not enough to sing the praises of the Villa Ducale! This stylish and magical hotel was the 1st stop on our honeymoon. My husband and I arrived cranky after the airline lost our luggage. But any upset we felt was immediately forgotten the second we stepped foot on this beautiful property where we were met by the kindest staff who greeted us with a glass of Prosecco and a snack, and showed us to THE most stunning hotel room with a private terrace overlooking all of Taormina, the sea, and Mt. Etna. The views, comfort, cleanliness, and gracious staff are enough to make this a 5-start experience, but the food takes it over the top. With a wide-selection breakfast buffet and exceptional dinner, these were some of the best meals we had on our 12 day vacation eating our way across several cities. The Ducale is truly a dream, don't hesitate, book it!

I think this is one of the best hotels that I’ve ever visited! It’s perched high up so the views are amazing, and there are stairs that lead you down to the city center (we loved getting the exercise going in and out of city center). When we arrived we were greeted by Santina, who was very sweet and helpful. She took the time to give us an overview of the hotel and of Taormina, which made it much easier for us to plan our day to day activities. I’ve never had a hotel in Italy do that, and it really made our vacation much better! I will recommend Villa Ducale to all my friends and family that are visiting Taormina, including my Italian friends (that live in Italy). It’s a really special place and we hope to return in the future!

There are many wonderful things about Taormina. It's a magical place. But for us, our Taormina experience was exponentially enhanced by our stay at Hotel Villa Ducale. It is an exceptionally beautiful property, with stunning views of the town, the sea, the coastline, and mount Etna.
We absolutely loved our suite, with its private entrance and the view of the coastline, its exquisite décor, super comfy bed, and unexpected amenities such as free drinks in the fridge, and Etro toiletries and Etro robe.
After a day of sightseeing, we looked forward to unwinding at the terrace with a glass of wine overlooking the most majestic view of Sicily we could only have dreamed of.
I could write an entire essay on the staff, which was as impressive as the views from the hotel. From the reception office to the wait staff and bartender, to the person in charge of parking our car in an impossibly tight and coveted spot, they made our stay unforgettable.
We traveled with friends who chose to stay in a renowned five star hotel located in the town. They came to our hotel on their way to Castelmola and when we showed them our suite, its view, and the view from the hotel's terrace they regretted their decision.
Taormina is a very busy, crowded, and noisy town. Hotel Villa Ducale is quiet and peaceful. It provided us with the space to rest well and recharge.
The hotel is well located, between Taormina and Catelmola, (about 15-20 minutes walk to either town), an added benefit, since parking is virtually impossible. I highly recommend Hotel Villa Ducale. It made our trip to Sicily even more memorable.

The good feeling started with a phone call at the reception before getting there. Daniele, one of the receptionists, answered all my questions very kindly. And then getting there I felt in love with the unbelievable view from the restaurant. Our room was big, very detailed oriented, with the same amazing view I felt in love with. A lot has been done to ensure the right standard of cleanliness, remote controls were found sealed in plastic bags, a detail I really appreciated. What else? The included breakfast is an incredible experience because of the location and the kind of food. Typical Sicilian dishes are available, either sweet and savory, as long as croissants, eggs, yogurt and so on. The reception team has been helpful and kind, the shuttle service to go downtown is a great plus. I was there during the busiest week of the year and yet everything was quiet. My mom had been there three times and I can see why. It’s a place you’ll love.

We loved staying at the Villa Ducale. The staff were very attentive and any issue we had was solved promptly. (air con not working)
The food was lovely and great to have a shuffle to take you to town.
I think if this is the first time in Taormina I would recommend something closer, perhaps their sister hotel. This was a bit too far away.

This hotel at the top has the most beautiful views overlooking Taormina and mt etna. It was a complete dream! The staff here also went above and beyond to make us feel special as we celebrated a birthday. Thank you again for a fabulous stay!! Wish we could of spent more nights here.

We stayed at this hotel for three days.
The restaurant view is so beautiful that both the restaurant and the hotel are well worth a visit for Taormina tourists. The reception staff are also very friendly and pleasant. The room condition was also clean and very good. If we visit Taormina again, we will definitely come back to this hotel.

Wonderfully located quiet boutique hotel halfway between Taormina and Castelmola with breathtaking views of both Mount Etna and the bay of Naxos. The beautifully decorated rooms and double balcony offered even more stunning views with complimentary mini bar. Extremely comfortable beds and thorough cleaning and turndown service. Very friendly staff who helped organise dinner reservations, beach club sunbeds and other excursions. The free shuttle bus to and from Taormina was well organised as the hotel is high above the town. Breakfast was always a pleasure due to the panaromic views on the open terrace with fantastic selection of sweet and savoury buffet options.

Our stay at Villa Ducal has been wonderful as the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The hotel itself has a distinctive character which resembles with boutique style of living. Each room is beautifully decorated which gives cosy vibes all time round. We stayed at rooftop villa where we have a lot of privacy and also it was were quiet which is something we prefer.

The food at the restaurant was superb too, various of different choices for meat eaters as well as vegetarians. Breakfast was also quite good with a vide selection of fruits and local Sicilian produce.

Loved our stay here. So accommodating and friendly. The check-in experience was the best of our trip. The views are amazing and the proximity to walking paths into the town are easily accessible. Also the walk to the small village of Castlemola is a great workout in the morning and so worth it to grab a granita and Brioche

The view from the room is phenomenal. You have the sea view and the erupting Etna from your balcony. The basic room is small but very cozy, it has every thing you need, bathroom is spacious. Daniele raised the bar of hospitality and truly represents how a luxury hotel should be. My friend had some emergency issues with her eyes and he helped us all the way to sort it out even before our arrival. Now that I think it's truly worthwhile to spend on an upscale hotel when travelling, you know that you will be taken care of when you really need it.

An incredible experience in Taormina. We visited on our honeymoon and the design suite was great with amazing views.

The front office helped book a tour of Mount Etna, transfer from the airport, and transfer to the beach club.

The breakfast was a treat every morning as well.
